A millionaire who can't get his accountant to file his tax returns on time has no hope of being able to run a country.

Case in point our current POTUS who took two and a half years to release his long form birth certificate. Maybe BO needed a photo ID to get it or a replacement SS card, but you can't get any of those without a BC and he had no work ID as a community organizer.

And no, I am not a birther. I just have no hope that the current POTUS has the ability to effectively govern our nation, nor has he proven capable thus far. Change & Hope, that's why someone other than BO will get my vote. ________________________________________________________________________________________

“Over the last two and a half years, I have watched with bemusement,” he said in brief remarks at the White House. “I’ve been puzzled by the degree to which this thing just kept on going.”

I see you conveniently ignored the rest of my post, where I explained why getting rid of Obama

will improve the economy.

Unfortunately it will not. Romney can no more fix the economy now than Obama could have, back in 2008.

It took us a long time to get here. We will not fix this in 4 years. We will not fix this in 8 years.

Seriously, this is beyond one president and certainly will take longer than a term or two.

So, basically, any new President will improve the economy because the reason it's in the toilet is Obama. It isn't Romney, specifically, that will do anything special.

Pretty much.

People put too much faith in the President's - any President's - ability to improve the economy.

Whether it's Obama, Romney or Mickey Mouse is largely irrelevant, as long as there's a stable

and functional political system that makes it possible to implement reforms and make progress.

No matter how bad a policy is, if you know exactly what it is and can put a number on it, you

can operate in your best interests.

Human beings make very bad decisions under uncertainty.

And that speaks volumes, albeit poorly of the GOP. What were they doing when candidate Obama was appointed and then elected? Shouldn't they have vetted him then?

If anything, it proves Obama is far more intelligent than the entire GOP contingent, for he was able to fool every one of them.

It just tells me that they couldn't care less about the American people by letting such a travesty take place.

Just about the entire world knew a Democrat was going to win the office after the 8 year train wreck, known as the Bush years was over. I don't think anyone could have predicted that BO could be as bad or worse than Bush on so many policy issues.

It is still no excuse. It was their duty to vet candidate Obama. That they chose not to do is no excuse. Perpetuating the birther myth, at worst proves their complete incompetence to be holding the office they occupy, and at best portrays them as loonies - no relation to the CAD. Either way, it proves them undeserving of anyone's vote.

On a serious note, do you realize that the partisan discourse can go ad infinitum in a deadly embrace? We are ALL in this together and one party, person of president alone cannot be blamed for then entire kerfuffle in which we find ourselves today.

Say what you may, do what you will. We cant deny We The People are as much as part of the problem as we are a part of the solution and we need to demand that our politicians - regardless of party - do the jobs for which they ran and, incidentally, are regally compensated.

No matter who is in office - their will be criticism. Our problems have spiraled out of control. And government has gotten bigger and bigger.

I agree. We need to create a new government agency to oversee the uncontrolled explosion in the size of government!

Not possible if you're a millionaire.

To get accountants to do work?

To not have to file an extension.

Business holdings, K-1's from investments in partnerships and S corporations, interest,

dividends, capital gain distributions and royalties, rental property transactions,

securities trading, filing requirements in more than one state and possibly other countries...

I'm guessing Romney's tax return is a bit more complex than yours.

That's why he has an accountant... If he can't do that how is he going to be able to run a country? It's far more complicated than paying an accountant to fill in some forms for you.

I see that the Republican strategy has worked on you. What strategy? Well, the strategy to delay, block and where possible derail anything and everything the administration proposed to get certainty back into the economy. Sit there and build a $7 trillion fiscal cliff against which you know the economy will run. You know that this will stifle growth and job creation. And that is exactly what you want so that you can then go and blame the administration for it. Now this Republican "party first ** the country" strategy might get your vote but it sure isn't getting mine.

Doesn't change the fact that all that delaying, blocking, derailing, etc creates uncertainty, and there's nothing Obama can do to fix it.

They don't respect him, they hate him - because he's smart, because he's black - it doesn't matter. All of those things make him a bad choice for President.

Are you being purposely dense? You can't get all the forms you need to file before April 15.

I'm nowhere near Romney's income levels, and even I can't get everything sent to me before April 15.
