My husband was on L1-B work visa which expired recently in June. His office has applied for an upgrade to L1-A visa as he is a manager since 2009. We had submitted all required documents before the visa expired and are still waiting for an "approved" or "rejected" on the pending issue. Under these circumstances, is it possible for any of us to travel domestically ?

If Yes, what documents will be required during "I.D. checking" at the airport ?

I don't think, there is any issues with traveling in 50 states as long as he has valid ID that have his name/address.

A total NO NO, travel outside of US and/or leaving US 50 states.
