We just received our packet 3 through email from the Seoul Embassy :D

I was reading through the instructions and it looks like

we have to bring the DS-230 part 1 to the interview?

Based on what I have been reading about k1 visa packet 3, I thought

DS-230 part 1 is something you send in right away while the rest can wait until the interview

The packet 3 instructions says bring all the documents to the interview

(DS-230 part 1, DS-156, DS-156K, medical exam and chest x-ray, ect)

Is this consulate specific?

Congrats u guys are almost there .since you guys have gone throught the process already , I would like to know if the checklist that will be sent to my fiancé will be through e-mail or regular mail because his mailing address has been change and I have been trying to contact the embassy in Seoul through phone to let them know of the change in address but to no avail,so what can I do?

It'll be sent to your email if you filled one in on your I129F form.

They sent it to my email since I filled mine in.

I'm guessing if you didn't fill one in, it would be sent to your Korean fiance's home address.

In that case, you'll need to call the Seoul Embassy right away if your case was sent to the embassy already.

Assuming you filled your email in and gets an email regarding packet 3,

you'll need to go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/kr

Create an account, and schedule an interview.

You'll also need to print out an interview confirmation letter with a barcode

and your fiance's address which you need to bring to the interview.

Your finace's address on the letter can be changed on http://www.ustraveldocs.com/kr

so the confirmation letter can have the updated address.

I believe they use this confirmation letter's address to send you the visa via the postal mail.
