that sucks. I think this case is especially urgent since the EAD card has already been received with no word of the interview.

It's normal.

I got my interview notice 2 months after I got my EAD. Worst waiting period in my entire life.

Just got off the phone with the tier 2 rep.

No interview set :(

I asked him a few more questions, he said that my case went into the system August 9th, in terms of sitting there waiting for it to be scheduled. I asked if there was anyway to anticipate when the date might be set. He said there was no way to tell, but they normally see most cases work on a 2 month rotation. As 2 months was up for us a week ago, he assumes it will only be a couple more days.

Unfortunately, I don't have the same amount of confidence he does!! The way this is going, were not going to be interviewed until christmas!

Don't give up yet, Mine was scheduled on the 98th day. Give a few more days.

I am sure you will get it either this or next week.

Hey guys!! Im gathering all my evidence for my interview which is in exactly 3 weeks from today! So as my looking at all my evidence, I'm afraid it won't be enough! :( This is what I have:

*Marriage certificate, of course..

*A LOT of pictures from different times and places, and wedding album

*Joint bank account

*Joint credit card

*Joint cable bill

*Hotel receipt of where we spent our honeymoon

*Another hotel receipt where we spent summer vacation

*The emails between me and hotel representative when I booked honeymoon.

*Post cards from family and friends for our wedding

*Anniversary letters between me and husband

*Two tickets to Brazil for Dec. 18

*Wedding dress and wedding bands receipts.

I'm afraid this isn't enough because we still live with his parents, who are our co-sponsors as well, and we don't have insurance for the car, or medical insurance, or any leases under our names. We also don't have any joint taxes, since we just recently got married, were only filing in April of next year. Our lawyer says it enough, but she's a little careless frim what I've seen...therefore I'm a little insecure! What do you guys think?

Looks to me like you have quite a sufficient amount of stuff. Over and above all else, the camaraderie between you and your spouse will be your biggest "evidence", so just relax and be yourself in front of IO. Likewise, with Hubby. I don't think its the amount of evidence that you have, but the way it looks that truly matters in the end.. in other words, your relationship is REAL. Without those docs, how would you prove it (short of conducting a steamy scene at the interview ;-) )

Listen, all the best and I'll be waiting anxiously to hear how it went :-)

CONGRATULATIONS to all new greener folks...Well deserved :-D

Thanks huongkhin! See, the thing is his parents are currently in Brazil, and the house where we live is rented, but his parents pay the rent...we're dependent of them financially...my husband is still in college full-time, and I don't work...I'm looking for a job now, that I have my EAD...

They rents the house but you rent it from your parent. So having a rental agreement between you two and your parent makes sense too. Just another peice of evident, you know

You won't believe it. I have not even started working on my ev. Package...just kind of still hoping the letter would've come and still not even sure I have an actual interview...even upto this evening, I had called USCIS and they told me I would be faxed on or before my interview...I got so mad with the man and asked him how that just sounded wrong because, I didn't even know where the location is or what's required of me...he just kind of shooed me off by saying that was how the system works and it was not up to him, etc, etc. I tell you, Mariana, I will only be sure of what's happening the day I'm sitting right in front of the IO. TOTALLY STRESSFUL.

On the brighter side, I did get the letter of the net, so I have a kind of idea...Is this the letter EVERYONE receives?

You know what? Call them again tomorrow deblogs! When you get to speak to the higher representative, ask the location and time of your interview! When I hadn't received mine yet, and called them, they told me the time and location, because they have access to that information! So insist on it, and tell them you don't know where it is, you don't know the time, and you can even tell them that you don't know what to take to the interview...maybe that way they'll take action, and send you the letter once and for all!! Do that! Good Luck!!

Thanks, I will do that!

Hello All

I had my interview today at 9am in Charlotte, NC. We arrived at the building at 8:10am, did all the security checks, then led to a waiting room where the guard told us to wait until our number is called.

We took our 19month active son with us. So we were chasing after him the entire time we were waiting. We waited for about 20 minutes before our number was called.

The IO walked us into his office, introduced himself then swore us in.

The first question he asked was if our child was both of ours. We said yes and he asked for the baby's birth certificate. After we gave it to him, he asked us for anything else we wanted to add to our file. I gave him a couple of stuff, leases, bank stuff, insurances etc...and i swear he never even looked at anything. He was more occupied with talking to my husband about the navy and some movie...I was too busy keeping my son from ruining his office.

Then i asked him if he at least wanted to see my pics. He said "OK" with a long sigh. Went through all the pics and discovered that we lived in South Korea for a while and started talking about his life when he was living there too.

Then asked me 5 questions...have i ever committed any crime blah blah...gave my husband back his passport. Took my I94 and stamped a temporary green card in passport. I was like WHAAAAAAATTTTT....he said don't worry you will receive your card in 2 weeks.

Then he told me that i was going to receive a 10 year green card since my husband and I are married for more than 2 years....he also asked us why we took so long to apply AOS....we explained that we lived in various countries after we got married and never felt the need to.

He explained that i can apply for citizenship after 3 years and other stuff related to that, and lastly thanked us for being so organized.

That was it...25 minutes in total...and alot of chit chat...

Thank You Lord its over...
