No, if there's not interview scheduled they won't know when you might get it...those representatives only have access to what has been done already, if you weren't scheduled yet, they will not know when the officer taking care if your stuff will schedule one for you!! Now, it doesn't sound right that they would tell you that you have to wait until December..how would they know?! Like I said, those representatives don't have access to that kind of info...especially an ordinary rep. And I see you've gotten your EAD already...I believe you should already have an interview scheduled...if not, then you should be getting it for now! Take care Dewave2!

Actually, I'm seeing that you've received your EAD in the middle of September...you need to call USCIS and ask to speak to a supervisor, or higher representative ASAP!!! You might have been scheduled for an interview long time ago and you don't even know! If you go a few pages back on this thread, you'll see my conversation with member Deblogs...she was in the same situation as you...I told her to call USCIS and speak to a higher rep., and guess what? She had been scheduled on September 20th for an interview on Oct. 24...and she never got any letter, or update! If she hadn't called, she would've missed it!! Call them tomorrow, and let me know hiw it went! :)

If they havent scheduled any interviews for you, do you know if they have access to the kind of information that may give you some guidance as to when it may be?

As currently, I've been told I have to wait until the end of December!! And I filed early July!!

I agree with Mariana, DeWave. I've just got slightly over 2 weeks to prep for my interview...never ever received text, email or letter...had to call in to an L2 officer, that's how I learned and only because Mariana told me to. Try that. Good wishes and hoping you sort it out :-)

Welcome, Summer2012! Best of luck to you, too :-)

This. Yes, Mariana. He should call and if he was scheduled without notice, maybe he can insist on an earlier interview date, really not fair if scheduled int was missed :-(

Thank you, DebLogs, I will call them tomorrow. I actually have never received any emails or phone calls about my EAD and AP update info,(except the NOA emails). I saw people have received many emails about " EAD card production", or "the card was picked up or mailed" emails. I got the information from checking the website. Every time I called to ask my interview, they said I have to wait 4 months, since the processing time for I-485 in St. Paul, MN is 4 months. It;s frustrating!

I'll call and let you know tomorrow. Good luck to you interview, DebLogs! Good luck to Dewave2 for your interview schedule. Wish we both have good results tomorrow by calling them!!!

What exactly am I asking the higher tier rep?

the higher tier rep will know if you had an interview scheduled or not, so ask about that. the first representative you get when you call has no access to this information. that's why you have to ask for a higher tier rep.

DeWave, don't give up: Call again and ignore any prompts until you get to the Spanish part...it'll mention, before that that if you're on a rotary phone stay on the line, someone eventually will start to introduce themselves in Spanish, at this point interrupt and say sorry you're an English speaker and want to confirm status of interview, therefore like to speak to tier 2, etc. Good luck. And remember, in the AOS journey, the last thing we lose is our patience. :-)
