i did my interview on a tuesday morning, and it was updated on wednesday evening

my interview was yesterday morning (Tuesday) at 11:30am. *sigh*

Just a question guys...

Why did I get another "EAD in production" notification? I got the first one on the 4th, yesterday I got another one except it says on the 10th of October. Does that mean it was never order for production on the 4th, like they said it was?

Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm a little confused now, and I see this happened to a lot of people...I just don't know why this happens...=S

Its normal. It happens to everyone. You will get 3 notification for EAD. 2 card production and one telling you that its mailed. Oh and another when its delivered. Same for GC.

i got my welcome to the USA letter today! now the green card and then its over.

oops sorry I forgot! Here we go!

So my husband and I walked into the building, got through security (as if it was an airport, seriously!) and then went to the counter. Checked in (we were asked if we were waiting for an attorney - we said no) and were told to sit in area Door 1. I was a little concerned about this because the Door 1 area didn't have a lot of people compared to Door 2 (I'm assuming it's Door 2 - all I really know is that half the room had a lot of people and where we were sitting did not). Our appointment was for 11:30am, but we were finally called in around 11:40am, after witnessing a few other people go into Door 1 and come out of the exit doorway just under 20 minutes. We took that as a good sign.

We followed the immigration officer into her office and took our positions standing in front of the chairs. We were sworn in, and the first thing the officer did was go over the paperwork. She asked for our driver's licenses and passports (I was a little nervous and forgot to provide my old passport as well that had the US F-1 visa in it but did provide it when she asked for it). She confirmed our home address, my birthdate, my employer, my date of entry. She made some small talk about my company as well, since we were recently in the news. After that, while she was thumbing through our paperwork, she asked for evidence of our marriage, and I gave her our bank statements, lease, car title, insurance policies for health, auto and renters. She also asked for photos, and so I gave her all my printouts - when we were traveling together, our college graduation photos, our wedding photos. She asked about my parents, whether they were in the US and I said no, but they came over for the wedding. Looking at the graduation photos, she asked if we had met in school and the year we met, as well as where we got married - we said "Yes we met in school" and the same year (2008) at the same time, and my husband added that we were married in Hawaii.

After that, she thumbed through all the evidence I gave her, and at the end of it, she looked up, smiled and said "I'm going to approve your application ... etc etc" whereby she talked about the Removal of Conditions that I will have to do in two years. The whole interview lasted about 15 minutes, and we were out and headed to lunch. It was really quick, really painless, and I was surprised they didn't ask us tougher questions.

OH well, I'm not complaining
