How is everyone getting along? Is the spreadsheet still being updated, if so, does anyone have a link I cant seem to find it?

I think I may currently be the only July filer that has still heard nothing regarding an interview date. Is there anything I can do to start forcing a chase on it?

A couple of days and ill be at the 3 month mark!

thanks for the tip!

the last vacation we took was for our wedding and honeymoon, so we're really excited for this upcoming one and are waiting for the interview and confirmed approval so I can receive my GC and not worry about reentering the US. Don't want to risk anything going wrong if we buy tickets now.

INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE IN WICHITA, KANSAS

alright ladies n gents. im a few days late doing this but here we go!

We arrived early and got in late. 10 minutes late to be exact. THEY were the ones behind on time lol This interview i would have to say from reading everyone elses was the most LAID BACK and short interview yet. The IO opened the door and called my name i said "thats us" and grabbed my photo album and VERY organized tote of evidence which might i add was huge. Needless to say the IO looked at the items in my hand prior to even eyeing us up. So, we proceed to the office and by we i mean my wife, 8 month old daughter and myself, we make it halfway to his office and a bunch of the IO's go nuts over "how cute" our daughter was so that was a nice icebreaker. We finally made it inside and of course he asks how we are and the weather topic came up as im Canadian and its hot here in Kansas yata yata, shook hands, you get the picture. We sit down and my daughter whines a bit and my wife says to her that we couldnt bring a toy in sorry. IMMEDIATELY he spins around and reaches into one of his filing cabinets and is digging through some plastic and i knew right away what it was. He grabbed her a toy LOL soooo, from there we started talking about him and his wife wanting a kid and we said how he should def. enjoy every moment without them lol. Then he started with the whole ok, raise your right hands and swear to tell the truth bla bla bla. Next he asks me my full name, DOB, address, parents name, our wedding date at which point we both said Feb. 18th 2011 at the EXACT same time lol. Of course we made it to the yes no questions and out of the 30 that there is, he asked 5. i did have a petty theft charge in 2006 and it was withdrawn because i completed mediation. So in turn, he obviously asked me about it and of course i told him the truth and handed him the court papers etc. then he literally tossed it aside. Then he asked who William Smith was ( we live with him and his wife and he is our co sponsor AKA my wifes grandpa ), so she explained it was her grandpa. Then he asked me if there were any other forms of evidence that wished to submit and of course i said yes and handed him a stack of things and showed him my EAD card and all our little love notes, facebook messages, and cards from family members with both our names on them from different occasions such as christmas etc. From there i bothered him with a few questions regarding some of the answers i wrote down as i was unsure of some of them. in the midst of those we got the comment out that he was going to go ahead and approve the case, but he NEVER once mentioned if it were going to be a 2 year conditional or not. So i really have no idea which i will have, you must know that he flipped through pages like he wasnt reading ANYTHING. Not acting like he was annoyed, but rather that he had his mind up the moment we shook hands and anything infront of him wasnt going to change his mind. It really was the most astonishing experience as i expected it to get a little heated because of a few things which NEVER were brought up such as my intention at point of entry etc. He was VERY fast about it and it lasted 15 min. We all sat a few more min after he printed off my congratulations sheet(no it wasnt the welcome to the USA letter) and talked it up for a bit. Then i grabbed our things and shook hands and said ty take care yata yata and out we were. quick, easy, and truly feels surreal, i spose once the green card is in my hand it will hit home. When he said it was approved i must admit i was taken back a bit and didnt really listen to what he had to say after that but i wasnt overwhelmed with joy or anything like that, just, at peace ya know. The wait was soooooo stressful and it truly felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. WELL, believe it or not the journey DID NOT end there, there is more. keep reading.

When we left after i grabbed all my things, we went to walmart. Did our thing at walmart etc, got to our car to leave and i started putting my ID and credentials back where they belong like aka in my wallet etc. WELL. i realize my EAD card WAS GONE!!!!! OMG i was in such a panic! I freaked, lol. We instantly went BACK to the immigration office and started back tracking my foot steps all the way to the building. Then i went back to the little window and asked my IO if i had left it in his office lol. He combed his office and tore it appart. He said there was 4 other interviews after me so he was going to go through EVERY one of their files to see if he had put it in there by accident, obviously he checked mine and it wasnt there. Well, i went from that office to my car back and forth FIVE, yes 5 times searching in the car and looking EVERYWHERE for it. On the street, the grass, down the street, just everywhere. Well, in the end, we found it. I have a passport book for our passports etc. well there is a VERY deep pocket i learned that day. You couldnt see it and couldnt tell there was a card in there cause the backs of the passport book were hard as a rock. So anyways, i found it and went in and told him and ya. That searching etc, took an hour and half LOL The bloody interview was 15 min. and then searched for something for an hour and a half. I was truly embarrassed but, what can you do. That guys and gals, was our interview story. I am more than sure the order of what i typed out may have been a little different and im sure i have forgoten a few minor things here and there but the idea of it was, it was FAST and PAINLESS. Good luck all, may God be as good to you with your experience as he was to ours.
