Hi Deblogs! Right now we're in the same situation! I have not received EAD or interview...none of them which is even worse :( Me and my husband bought tickets to Brazil for Dec. 18, and at this point Im extremely anxious and worrued! Unfortunately we cannot do anything about it! I wish you good luck!

Mariana. Sorry for late reply. In a Web conference for most of the day. I am sorry to hear about your ordeal, but its also comforting to know that I am not alone in my journey. Let's try and remain positive, like Linda, Mebbe and the rest have said, and maybe in a few weeks time, we will be comforting others...

Day 065- 09/27/2012 - Text confirmation of EAD Card Production.

Day 071- 10/03/2012 - Text and email confirmation of EAD Card mailed to address on file.

Day 071-10/03/2012 - Text and email confirmation of USPS picking up mail.

Day 077- 10/09/2012 - Called USCIS to see if interview letter had ever been sent out (on advisement from helpful VJ member). L2 Officer comfirms that an interview letter was sent out on 09/20/2012. Advised to call USCIS 5 days before interview date to get a faxed copy of letter...???

Day 092- 10/24/2012 - Interview...APPROVED. Thank YOU, LORD!

Day 099- 10/31/2012 - GREEN CARD RECEIVED. What a wonderful feeling!

We had our interview this morning in the Columbus, Ohio office. The officer was an older white lady. A middle aged black female officer sat in the room but didn't say anything.

We were interviewed separately. I (the USC) was first.

She asked me details about my daily routine, the bedrooms in our house, how we met, details about my kids... She asked to see extra evidence, and I gave her our lease, bank statements, letters of support. She went through our photos and smiled and laughed at a few of them. She asked about one with his parents in it and asked who they were and then commented, "Oh, so you've met his parents." And I said, yes, several times. I was in there with them maybe 15 minutes.

Then they took my husband in the room alone. He was also in there for about 15 minutes. From his report, they asked him the same type of details about our house, routine, kids... All of our answers matched, of course, because it's pretty easy to answer questions about your own lives. B-)

We have a 20 year age gap and, strangely enough, they didn't ask either of us us one question about it. It wasn't even mentioned at all. :huh:

When my husband was done, she took his I-94 and told him he didn't need it anymore because he's not currently studying. She told him that she needed to review paperwork before she makes a decision. He came out alone and said we are done and we left. At no point during the process were we interviewed together, which I thought was strange??

The interviewer was really nice and friendly, which was a plus.

Maybe its because of the age difference why they separated you, i hear huge age difference can raise a red flag, they prolly didnt mention it because yall did so well in the interview, Congrats!

Hello everyone. Newbie here, but I've been lurking and have read everyone's story. Congratulations to all the successes!!! Here's my story:

Application Sent - July 26th, 2012

Application received - July 30th, 2012

Biometrics done - August 22, 2012

EAD Approved - September 27, 2012

Interview appointment letter received - Not received or heard anything.

Interview appointment - Date unknown. Local office -- Atlanta, Ga

I am extremely worried because my husband purchased tickets for me, him and our little girl to go home to Zambia, Central Africa for December 7, 2012. I had hoped we'd have heard something from Uscis by now but absolutely nothing....encouragement needed...be gentle please...already heavily depressed...thanks :-(

hey newbie, to do your timeline, select settings from the top right hand corner of your screen, then select profile, then select change signature, then type your timeline from the date you sent your package, in that way when anything new happens you can go back in and update it

Let's try and remain positive, like Linda, Mebbe and the rest have said, and maybe in a few weeks time, we will be comforting others...

It is also comforting for me to know that I'm not alone in this situation either...what worries me the most is the fact tgat I haven't even received my EAD, its still under Initial Review..:( Your interview letter should arrive anytime now! ;) It usually arrives shortly after the EAD! :) So don't be worried..as long as you get the interview letter until the end if this month, you will be able to travel! :)

Decision

On October 4, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.
