I talked to my father-in-law on the phone today. He told me how much he wants me to return to Jordan to visit and how happy he is that I am married to his son. It made me cry, and is just want I needed to hear before our (undoubtedly stressful) immigration interview with USCIS tomorrow morning.

The funny thing is she's been waiting for the EAD and looks like the EAD will come on or one day after our interview.:rofl:

We haven't done anything to prepare, except gather some evidence. We know that we will be able to answer all of their questions, whatever those questions might be, because we have a real and very strong relationship. Still, neither of us do very well under stress and pressure, so the process does make us a bit nervous.

Im so sorry guys, I know im getting annoying now, but at this point I am so desperate, i just need an opinion on what I should do...It's been almost a month since they got my RFE, and until today I have not gotten any status update, no EAD, and no interview either :-( I've spoken to my lawyer, she of course says it is very normal...but that's not what I see in many cases such as many v-jayers...should I call USCIS and speak to tier 2 rep., or would that make things worse?

Im so sorry guys, I know im getting annoying now, but at this point I am so desperate, i just need an opinion on what I should do...It's been almost a month since they got my RFE, and until today I have not gotten any status update, no EAD, and no interview either :-( I've spoken to my lawyer, she of course says it is very normal...but that's not what I see in many cases such as many v-jayers...should I call USCIS and speak to tier 2 rep., or would that make things worse?

It wouldn't hurt giving USCIS a call. I personally think that when you call, they make a note of your concern and get someone to look at your case. If you don't call and choose to wait? They' re just gonna wait till they get to it. I would suggest giving them a call because its almost 30 days since they receive RFE response.

i called them several times an everytime i did i seen results in days to follow. it cant hurt. ask for a tier 2 rep.

I called this morning, waited about 18 min. to speak to a tier 2 rep., all she said was that once I received the RFE the 90-day clock stopped automatically and once they received the RFE response the clock was rest, so the 90 day wait started all over again, as for the interview she told she cannot do anything, that I have to wait until the 60th day to call and make an inquiry.

So, I don't think I solved anything...=(

04/19/16: Mom's biometrics re-taken

04/22/16: Dad's EAD approved

04/28/16: Dad's EAD approval notice and EAD card received

06/15/16: Mom's EAD approved

Our marriage is authentic, but I'm expecting a stressful interview because we have an age gap and I fear USCIS will be hard on us.

My USC wife is 16 years older than I am and we didn't have a big problem with the age difference. The IO didn't focus too much on our age. She asked a lot about how we met and when we decided to take the next step in our relationship.

So don't stress too much about age.

05/22/2012 - MAILED AOS PACKAGE.
06/04/2012 - RECEIVED NOTICE IN THE MAIL.
06/04/2012 - RECEIVED BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT IN THE MAIL.
06/06/2012 - WALK IN BIOMETRICS COMPLETED.
07/11/2012 - TEXT AND EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS OF I-485 INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT.
07/13/2012 - RECEIVED HARD COPY OF INTERVIEW NOTICE IN THE MAIL.
07/28/2012 - EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDER.
08/04/2012 - EAD CARD IN HAND.
08/15/2012 - GC INTERVIEW. APPROVED. PASSPORT STAMPED.
08/20/2012 - GC CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED.
08/23/2012 - GC RECEIVED.

06/28/2014 - MAILED I-751 PACKAGE

07/05/2014 - RECEIVED NOA 1

01/15/2016 - Interviewed and Approved.

08/02/2016 - N400 Interviewed and Approved.

Our interview is Tuesday. We have an age gap. I hope we come home with good news. :)

- 7/23/2008 came to US with F-1 visa
- 9/11/2012 I-485, I-130 and I-765 package sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox
- 9/12/2012 package delivered and signed by XXX
- 9/14/2012 received email with receipt numbers
- 9/17/2012 check cashed
- 9/30/2012 received hard copy of biometrics appointment on 10/19/2012, notice dated on 9/21/2012
- 10/12/2012 successfully walk-in one week earlier without asking reason at New York Long Island City office
- 11/5/2012 started to work in a new firm
- 11/11/2012 EAD approved!!! AWESOME!
- 11/19/2012 EAD card delivered, one day ahead of my birthday!
- 1/11/2013 received txt and email about interview time
- 2/14/2013 interview - Got APPROVED on the spot!!
- 2/27/2013 USCIS online update - 485 decision!! we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status :) Later, my 130 update too!!!
- 3/4/2013 Card Production!!

- 11/24/2014 I-751 package sent to USCIS Vermont Service Center to remove conditions

- 11/25/2014 package was delivered and signed by XXX

- 12/17/2014 bio letter received, scheduled on Dec 30, 2014 11:00 AM

- 12/19/2014 early bio done in Long Island City Office!
