Got EAD SMS. YAY!!!! :dance: One more week to the interview!

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

Wife's journey.
Day 01 - 07/25/2012 - Mailed AOS package (I-130,I-131, I-485,I-765) via UPS Next Day Air.
Day 02 - 07/26/2012 - Package delivered by UPS.
Day 10 - 08/03/2012 - Got 4 emails confirm AOS package had been received. Checks cashed.
Day 13 - 08/06/2012 - Receipt Numbers are track-able on USCIS website.
Day 18 - 08/11/2012 - Biometrics Notice received (Dated: 8/8, Appointment: 8/29)
Day 20 - 08/13/2012 - Walk-in biometrics done.
Day 24 - 08/17/2012 - Received 4 NOA letters.
Day 27 - 08/20/2012 - 2nd Biometrics Notice received. Same day walk-in biometrics done.
Day 41 - 09/03/2012 - Email and txt notification of interview.
Day 43 - 09/05/2012 - Interview Notice in the mail. This is GREAT!
Day 63 - 09/25/2012 - EAD txt notification. I-765 online status updated.
Day 69 - 10/01/2012 - EAD Mailed.
Day 71 - 10/03/2012 - Interview. I-130 approved. I-485 will be approved after police clearance received. / EAD received. Wrong name. Wrong country of birth.
... waiting for Police Reports from Vietnam and current city's police dept.
11/01/2012 - RFE Police reports sent.
11/06/2012 - I-485 Approved. Card production email received.
11/09/2012 - Email notification. Card picked up by USPS.
11/15/2012 - GC received. Correct name. Still wrong country of birth.

Remove condition:

10/22/2014 - I-751 notice receipt received.

I am starting to get very worried! :(

Still no EAD approval and still no interview letter...

Me and my husband bought plane tickets to Brazil

for December, and I'm afraid I can't go, because

my process is taking for ever for some reason! :(

I don't mind postponing the trip, but it would be

better if I didn't have to...

To everybody who's having the interview soon,

Yes!! And I've called USCIS in order to get more info,

and asked to speak to a higher costumer service

representative, she was rude and told me she

only had access to what I have access to!

And also told me to count 90 days to receive EAD from

the day they received the RFE response!? Is that even

how it works? I thought they would resume the

process, and not start all over...:(

hey guys, off topic question. we have our interview on the 4th of october. while thats great and all, i do have something that may be a little scary and that is back in 2006 an ex g/f and i were caught stealing. petty theft like some perfume or something stupid like that. well, i was given the opportunity to complete mediation ( a set of instructions to complete ) and upon completion the charge would be dropped. well, they were dropped. anyways, it was a first offense for me and im curious if that will have any affect at my AOS interview. YES i have all the required paper work for the interview that shows the charge was dropped and mediation completed etc. any thoughts?

Nope it wont be a problem, a friend of mine had the same charge misdeameanor petty larcency for stealing clothes from a store, and she got through with ease, just make sure when they ask u if u were ever arrested tell them yes, and the reason if they ask, my friend said the IO asked her if she was ever arrested to see if she was gonna lie, but he already knew that she was arrested, because after she said yes, he then said to her " i see where your case was dismissed, do you have the dismissal order?" and she didnt even mention anything to him about dismissal, that goes to show that they already have all their facts..... Make sure u bring the original of the disposition

Basically, don't lie. they ask you questions to see if you'll lie, not because they want to know the answer!

same time we did, and three days after sending her

RFE her status changed to EAD production, so I

don't suppose the process starts all over :unsure:

well no I didn't mean the whole thing starts over. Just the processing time for your EAD I meant ... but if your RFE says 60 days, it should take no more than 60 days. anything more and you should call back and REALLY make them let you talk to a higher up.

my journey has finally came to an end for now, i can now have peace of mind, relax myself and focus on new accomplishments, my greencard has arrived today! thank you lord, its such a wonderful feeling, cant wait for yall to experience this feeling
