Just got an email status update testing and interview ,on August 17 we mailed you an appointment for interview scheduled for September 24th! Sooooooo happy! God is good!

I was checking the mailbox every day!

nope...no card production...its still sitting at initial review. although that would be AMAZING if that fell into that category. i NEED to have an income ASAP so i can get some phone bills and bank account statements BEFORE the interview. (evidence) neways, heres to being hopeful of a speedy EAD card arrival. :P

Wow! That's crazy! That shows that the system is flawed sometimes..

why would you say the system is flawed? the waiting period for a EAD is 3 months. if i do my math correctly i still have 2 months to receive the EAD card. infact, my AOS interview is smack on time possibly a few weeks early. and i def. will update as i check the "Check Stauts" like an obsessed crazy person everyday atleast 10 times a day lol. again, please explain how you feel its flawed, im truly curious as i feel im missing something.

Well, I am not an expert or anything, but I have been checking on people's statuses just to see what to expect and most of people who have done biometrics and applied for work authorization received their EAD card before receiving the interview date. Some say that once you have your green card, you don't necessarily need the EAD card (I don't know if it's correct though). I saw just few instances where people do not receive the EAD card at all before interview. But again, I don't want to make you worried or anything, this is all just assumptions and each case is unique and it's hard to know for sure what happens which every case... You surely did not miss anything, otherwise the uscis would have contacted you already to ask for more documents.

I also have been crazy about checking my status at least 3 times a day and can't wait to hear anything about our case! I totally hear you!

understood. well, i sure hope i get my EAD card soon, i want the new Galaxy S3 phone already lol and a job and lots of things :P im hoping to get the letter in the mail today about the interview but im not holding my breath. As for my EAD card, it really could be at anytime between now and september 23rd before i see ANY updates on it. again,, heres hoping to a speedy EAD!

not more than 15 minutes after my last post, i checked my mail and you bet, the interview letter with instructions as what and whom to bring was in the mail!! i was pretty shocked actually. Hopefully i see another one of those letters in the mail sometime soon lol...AKA EAD card. again heres to hoping for a fast response to the i-765!

01/22/2011 - Met my now husband

06/09/2012 - Married the Best man in the world!


07/14/2012 - Mailed I-130 and I-485 packages

07/23/2012 - USCIS cashed our checks

07/25/2012 - Received Notice of Action letters for I-130, I-485 and I-765.

07/25/2012 - Received ASC Appointment Notice for biometrics. Biometrics scheduled for 08/14/2012 in Norfolk, VA.

08/07/2012 - Successful Walk-in Early Biometrics taken at a different ASC location (Alexandria, VA).

08/13/2012 - Called the FBI to ask about biometrics. USCIS have them!

08/27/2012 - Received Interview letter, Interview scheduled on Sept. 28th.

09/21/2012 - EAD card under production

09/28/2012 - Interview in Norfolk - No decision yet :(

09/29/2012 - EAD card received in the mail.

10/01/2012 - Case status updated - Approved! YAY!!!!

10/03/1012 - Card Production!!!!! YAAAAAAY!!!

10/10/2012 - Green Card received in the mail! It's beautiful!!!

7/7/14 - Package sent to Vermont Service Center

7/14/14 - USCIS received Package, USCIS sent first NOA

7/22/14 - ASC Appointment Notice Letter

8/15/14 - Biometrics done
