LindaC1990 and Dare 448, do you know exactly what office your local one is? Are you guys in central Los Angeles? I'm in the San Fernando Valley, so I think if I remember, my local office is Chatsworth. I'm hoping this is a separate office to any central LA one, and hopefully move slightly faster. Not sure I could bare waiting 3 months for a notice of interview!!

Hello there! My local field office is Downtown Los Angeles. Last time I checked, they're processing AOS applications filed in February which scares the hell out of me. I'm hoping they'd move faster eventually.

Day 01 - 07/25/2012 - Mailed AOS package (I-130,I-131, I-485,I-765) via UPS Next Day Air.
Day 02 - 07/26/2012 - Package delivered by UPS.
Day 10 - 08/03/2012 - Got 4 emails confirm AOS package had been received. Checks cashed.
Day 13 - 08/06/2012 - Receipt Numbers are track-able on USCIS website.
Day 18 - 08/11/2012 - Biometrics Notice received (Dated: 8/8, Appointment: 8/29)
Day 20 - 08/13/2012 - Walk-in biometrics done.
Day 24 - 08/17/2012 - Received 4 NOA letters.
Day 27 - 08/20/2012 - 2nd Biometrics Notice received. Same day walk-in biometrics done.
Day 41 - 09/03/2012 - Email and txt notification of interview.
Day 43 - 09/05/2012 - Interview Notice in the mail. This is GREAT!
Day 63 - 09/25/2012 - EAD txt notification. I-765 online status updated.
Day 69 - 10/01/2012 - EAD Mailed.
Day 71 - 10/03/2012 - Interview. I-130 approved. I-485 will be approved after police clearance received. / EAD received. Wrong name. Wrong country of birth.
... waiting for Police Reports from Vietnam and current city's police dept.
11/01/2012 - RFE Police reports sent.
11/06/2012 - I-485 Approved. Card production email received.
11/09/2012 - Email notification. Card picked up by USPS.
11/15/2012 - GC received. Correct name. Still wrong country of birth.

Congrats to you! I was looking at your timeline and we pretty much sent our application at the same time but we haven't received anything yet after biometrics last 07/31. LA is really slower than others.

Congrats to you! I was looking at your timeline and we pretty much sent our application at the same time but we haven't received anything yet after biometrics last 07/31. LA is really slower than others.

incase you all dont already know, this all can take up to a year. and as far as that goes, i called USCIS today and asked for a tier 2 rep. AKA an IO, and she said that they are currently processing feb.18th cases which means, we are a VERY long ways away from anything of ANY significance. so dont be dissapointed if you dont see any changes on your case statuses or receive anything in the mail. and yes, i argued the fact that there are others that filed in july that have recieved their interview notices and she said some cases are sped up for legal reasons. i can only hope to God that is the case for mine and all of yours but i really doubt it. good luck to you all and keep posting updates as were all anxious to see ANY progress.

We got the letter in the mail today. She needs to get her Biometric re-taken. :crying: She went and got it done but her prints are pretty worn due to her typing a lot on the computer. Hopefully the FBI accepts it this time. knock on wood :unsure:

Day 0 - 07/10/2012 - AOS package (I-130,I-485, I-175) mailed to Chicago with FedEx.

Day 1 - 07/11/2012 - Confirmation from FedEx that package arrived and was signed for.

Day 3 - 07/13/2012 - Text confirmation from USCIS of receipt.

Day 4 - 07/14/2012 - Online banking shows that cheques were cashed.

Day 9 - 07/19/2012 - Received 3 out of 3 NOA letters in the post.

Day 11 - 07/21/2012 - Received biometrics appointment letter, appointed set for 08/07/2012.

Day 16 - 07/26/2012 - Completed biometrics walk in.

Day 56 - 09/04/2012 - Received text notification to state that my EAD has been ordered into production.

Day 59 - 09/07/2012 - Received 2nd text notification to state that my EAD has been ordered into production.

Thanks! We knew it could happen because she told me that they had a hard time getting her prints to show at the consular office when she applied for her first tourist visa. They put her in a room and manually did it. Very unusually for a busy office like the one in Vietnam.

I had her go to the ASC right away because we are leaving in 10 days for a short trip. I'm glad we did the walk-in biometric the first time because of issue like this.

Thank you guys! It is surprising to see the differences in how slow or fast some offices are. I got my letters today ,its an half an hour difference between me and my son's interview time. I assume we will go together since he is only four :D ! Good luck to everyone hopefully more good news this week.

Thank you guys! It is surprising to see the differences in how slow or fast some offices are. I got my letters today ,its an half an hour difference between me and my son's interview time. I assume we will go together since he is only four :D ! Good luck to everyone hopefully more good news this week.
