I am not liking LA office right now. They seem to be working very slow. I have a friend in Santa Ana, CA who I'm sharing the same experience with and her case seems to be progressing much faster.

We filed the same week in June (last week). Both our husbands did biometrics 2 weeks ago. Last Monday, Santa Ana friend received their EAD card production notice and interview date. As for my husband and I, NOTHING!

update: Just got email for interview sept 18, they said it was mailed out today, i am so happy to hear that my case is progressing, my EAD is still not updated so i dont know whats happening with that, am hoping to get it in time to get a state ID and drivers Liscense with me and hubby address on it for the interview

Hello everyone, there are several things bothering me about our case. I'd like to hear you guys' take on this.

We filed I485 I130 I131 and I765 all together, package received in Chicago office on July 24th. The problems are

1. we received texts & emails informing receipt numbers for I485, I130 and I131 on Aug 3rd. But so far nothing about my I765. We called the customer service but the guy wasn't helpful at all. He asked us to wait for one more week and contact again if still nothing.

2. The USCIS website shows "On August 3, 2012, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case." But it's been almost two weeks now and we still didn't get it in mail.

What do you guys suggest me to do? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

1. Customer service responses are read off a script, so they aren't going to be much help unfortunately. do call them back in a week though.

2. It's okay if you never receive your NOA, as long as you receive your biometrics appointment.

07/22/2014 - 11/14/2014: 116 Days from Application Received to GC Received.
Naturalization

I'm in the San Fernando Valley, so I think if I remember, my local office is Chatsworth. I'm hoping this is a separate office to any central LA one, and hopefully move slightly faster. Not sure I could bare waiting 3 months for a notice of interview!!

My local office is San Fernando Valley field office too. I live in Ventura county.

But I am telling you, base on the research I have done, San fernando valley is the slowest one.

Because It servers San luis obispo, Santa Maria, Santa barbara county, ventura county and san fernando county itself.

was frustrated at my previous post, but here's what happened

in the past when people go in for biometrics, they would get your picture

and all 10 finger prints, but now it seems like they don't really reject

your application anymore, but rather accept it and wait for the missing fees to come in.

I do feel stupid but that's what happened. If they ask you to wait for your NOA to arrive

to send in the information, do not listen to them, just make sure you write a handwritten letter

with your receipt# and the missing documents; mail it to the same address where you filed your

initial application.

I talked with a level2 officer, and he told me for some reason they are accepting incomplete

packages, I guess the government is that desperate for money.

did anyone receipt their EAD/AP card yet? I'm hoping to travel overseas next month and would like it

on hand.

06/30/12 sent out I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765

07/02/12 Receipved email confirmation for I-130, I-131, I-765 and I-485

07/09/12 received NOA through mail for I-130, I-131, I-765

07/18/12 received biometrics appointment for 8/3 (for I-765)
