Well, I am not an expert or anything, but I have been checking on people's statuses just to see what to expect and most of people who have done biometrics and applied for work authorization received their EAD card before receiving the interview date. Some say that once you have your green card, you don't necessarily need the EAD card (I don't know if it's correct though). I saw just few instances where people do not receive the EAD card at all before interview. But again, I don't want to make you worried or anything, this is all just assumptions and each case is unique and it's hard to know for sure what happens which every case... You surely did not miss anything, otherwise the uscis would have contacted you already to ask for more documents.

I also have been crazy about checking my status at least 3 times a day and can't wait to hear anything about our case! I totally hear you!

You don't need the EAD card once you have your greencard.

My husband was one of those people who didn't get his EAD until after his interview. I think it really depends on the local office where you will have your interview and how busy they are. The people (like us) who don't get the EAD until after the interview generally get to the interview stage on the quick side of "normal".

5/26/2012 - NOA hard copies received for I-130, I-485 and I-765

6/19/2012 - Biometrics completed.

7/02/2012 - Text/email/hard copy notification of interview.

7/30/2012 - EAD card production ordered.

8/02/2012 - Interview @ 2:00

8/02/2012 - Email notification of GC production at 5:30pm

8/07/2012 - Second GC production email

8/07/2012 - EAD received.

8/08/2012 - GC mailed.

8/09/2012 - Welcome letter and I-130 approval letter received.

8/10/2012 - Green card received. :)

Thank you for citing your experience with the EAD card. I haven't receive anything after biometrics done yet, but it's been only 28 days since.my biometrics were done. Still it feels like an eternity!

01/22/2011 - Met my now husband

06/09/2012 - Married the Best man in the world!


07/14/2012 - Mailed I-130 and I-485 packages

07/23/2012 - USCIS cashed our checks

07/25/2012 - Received Notice of Action letters for I-130, I-485 and I-765.

07/25/2012 - Received ASC Appointment Notice for biometrics. Biometrics scheduled for 08/14/2012 in Norfolk, VA.

08/07/2012 - Successful Walk-in Early Biometrics taken at a different ASC location (Alexandria, VA).

08/13/2012 - Called the FBI to ask about biometrics. USCIS have them!

08/27/2012 - Received Interview letter, Interview scheduled on Sept. 28th.

09/21/2012 - EAD card under production

09/28/2012 - Interview in Norfolk - No decision yet :(

09/29/2012 - EAD card received in the mail.

10/01/2012 - Case status updated - Approved! YAY!!!!

10/03/1012 - Card Production!!!!! YAAAAAAY!!!

10/10/2012 - Green Card received in the mail! It's beautiful!!!

Just got an email status update testing and interview ,on August 17 we mailed you an appointment for interview scheduled for September 24th! Sooooooo happy! God is good!

Its ben over a month now since I did my walk in biometrics, and still no word :(

AOS Journey

Day 0 - 07/10/2012 - AOS package (I-130,I-485, I-175) mailed to Chicago with FedEx.

Day 1 - 07/11/2012 - Confirmation from FedEx that package arrived and was signed for.

Day 3 - 07/13/2012 - Text confirmation from USCIS of receipt.

Day 4 - 07/14/2012 - Online banking shows that cheques were cashed.

Day 9 - 07/19/2012 - Received 3 out of 3 NOA letters in the post.

Day 11 - 07/21/2012 - Received biometrics appointment letter, appointed set for 08/07/2012.

Day 16 - 07/26/2012 - Completed biometrics walk in.

Day 56 - 09/04/2012 - Received text notification to state that my EAD has been ordered into production.

Day 59 - 09/07/2012 - Received 2nd text notification to state that my EAD has been ordered into production.

Day 62 - 09/10/2012 - Text notification that EAD has been mailed.

Day 64 - 09/12/2012 - EAD received in the mail.

To me, it felt like I was never going to hear anything back! I was SO impatient...

Now I am reviewing all the documentation to take to the interview, all the bonafides evidences, e.g. current joint bank statement, joint insurance evidences, telephone bills, utility bills and picture. That'll keep me busy for a while

I'm still waiting to hear back on my interview data /EAD. Got my biometrics done on 8/1. Very impatient :)
