I definately want to try it - awaiting letter - but I think it depends on location - people seem to have had success doing it. I know here in San Jose they don't allow as have 250 a day to get through

Got confirmation from UPS that package was received in Chicago today - 7/18 - signed for by CHYBA

Wait begins...will keep you guys posted.

how do you find out who signed it? im curious.

im in Kansas and the app. center is in Wichita and i have been there several times and its been DEAD almost every time ive gone. so im hoping thats a good thing for me :)

I think you can do that if you sent the package through ups or fedex. you just need to go to proof of delivery and it should say there.

"for those of you who are registerd on here and have not filled out your timeline so far, go to settings on the top right hand corner of the page, click on profile, then select change signature, that way you can record your progress for others to see your timing

Hi you all,

I just got biometric appointment letter today. But i got a problem. I live in Spartanburg, South Carolina but my appointment for biometric is all the way in USCIS ALEXANDRIA, VA. It's almost 8 hours away from where I live. Does anybody get this issue. Honestly, i cannot drive all the way there just to get fingerprint ( about an hour) then drive back to my house. This is odd. There is an USCIS in my area (20 minutes away) but why dont they let me go there???

Im so upset righnow. Any help??? I would appreciate. Thnks

Got my biometrics appointment letter, but I'm going to see how to go about doing a walk in this week I think, as its not too far from my house. I was getting concerned when I saw someone had one 8 hours away!

Has anyone tried tracking their receipt numbers on the USCIS website. I have tracked all of mine, my I-130 and I-765 are both showing their are in the Initial Review stage, however, my I-485 is showing it is still in the Acceptance stage. Does anyone have any idea of why this may be?

check the details on the bottom, I have a missing element so I need to wait for the I-797C to arrive to receive send in the missing elements.

I see it is accepted but it never will go into the initial review stage until I send in the payment

07/02/12 Receipved email confirmation for I-130, I-131, I-765 and I-485

07/09/12 received NOA through mail for I-130, I-131, I-765

07/18/12 received biometrics appointment for 8/3 (for I-765)

08/03/12 only got pictured took for biometrics

08/16/12 received biometrics appointment for 9/4 (for I-485)

08/30/12 AP&EAD card approved

08/31/12 biometrics done

09/06/12 AP&EAD card mailed

09/08/12 AP&EAD card received

09/08/12 Biometrics fingerprint failed, rescheduled for 10/3

09/09/12 Left the country, rescheduled for 11/21

11/21/12 Biometrics retaken

12/06/12 email notification of interview for 1/8/2013

01/08/13 Interview went smooth

01/09/13 received mail for police clearance letter, submit on 1/24/13

01/24/13 sent in the document and APPROVED 2 hours later!!!
