I have a question about form I864 income requirements.

About me i have a steady job since june 2011 at same employer also got pay raise this year (my wife is lucky charm for me ) and all latest pay stubs , tax transcript from IRS and Letter from emplpoyer about my current salary will be provided to NVC .

Following are my income:

Current year 2012 - $30750 ( the amount is expected income from January 2012 to December 2012 )

Year 2011 - $17562 ( $16978 wages + $584 jury duty pay )

Year 2010 - $5257

Year 2009 - $2258

Following are my Moms income who lives with me in same household:

Current Year 2012 - $16500 ( the amount is expected income from January 2012 to December 2012 )

Year 2011 - $12801

Year 2010 - $17877

Year 2009 - $15676

My Questions

1 .My last year income is less then the 125% income requirment which is $18,912 i am little short last year but this years expected income is more then the 125 % so do u think i am safe cause the Consulate officer will put more weight on current income.

2. For backup i have my mom who lives with me in same household so should i include her income also so our combine income can put more weight especially for last year my income was lilttle short or i dont need to cause my this years current income is more than enough for 2 people ( me and my wife )

3 . Line 23 in form I864 ask MY CURRENT INDIVIDUAL ANNUAL INCOME IS _____________ , what does this question says should i put my current expected income for year 2012 which is $30750 or my last year income from year 2011 which is $17562.

Any other comments is appreciated

Thanks & Regards

M & P

The current income should be enough to satisfy the affidavit of support. A joint sponsor should not be needed.

Current income is what you have calculated - $30,750. Support that claim with an employer letter and recent paystubs.
