You just need the affidavit of support, a copy of the NOA2 and some evidence stuff from him for the interview. From what I know you can schedule the medical as soon as you receive your case number from the NVC.

My fiancé is the same way…I'm the one who knows how things work and what has to be done and he just waits for instructions from me.

You can make the medical appointment without his stuff. Just the case number. You really need him to work on his affidavit of support so he's ready to sign it once you have the info from the embassy. I got my fiancé to complete his whilst I was over there for Christmas. Have you ordered your police certificate? They're valid for 12 months (I ordered mine last October as NOA2s were coming through quicker then - I hope like hell that I don't have to order another as 12 months has elapsed!).

Thanks guys! I guess that's a relief, since he still hasn't made a move on his paperwork and irs stuff this weekend :bonk:

Yeah I have my police certificate and data release since it said 'no live trace' from some first warning i got as a troublesome youth. I also got every vaccination I could. Yeah, as the approvals were coming through at the end of last year i rushed to get everything done. I'm assuming i'll have my visa by summer but if not, a few of the vaccinations and police certificate will expire.

I can't see that this is a true. They said that there were no (further) delays caused by the plumbing issues. Surely we would have heard something before this if this were true? BTW - really bad attitude by the aide.

Last night I emailed the USCIS ombudsman about my concerns regarding the processing times at CSC and my pending case.

This morning, I received the same response that someone else posted on visajourney yesterday: The processing time at CSC has slipped due to other processing priorities, but they are currently moving resources to the I-129f cases. As they do so, they anticipate the processing time to decrease. (My letter said not to copy and paste it, otherwise I would have posted it here)

Here is the ombudsman email: OLUInquiries@dhs.gov

I suggest everyone write to them. No matter if you just received your NOA1 last week, or if you have been waiting months. It takes 5 minutes to write a couple of sentences about your concern regarding the processing times for K-1 fiance visas at CSC.

It seems they are finally doing something about it, and if we keep the pressure on, maybe they will realize just how bad it has gotten.

Still waiting for our RFE to come though the mail before we can even reply. Then we have to wait for that to be delivered then processed and finally NOA2, even if it goes smoothly it still means we'll probably reach 300 club. Come on VSC! I dearly hope the next stages are quick and that we don't get denied or something since I so badly want to be there for summer.
