OMG guys! Our petition was approved!!! :) I can't even tell you how happy I am! I'm shaking, my heart's racing!

I so hope that all of your petitions will be approved soon, too!!! I thought this day would never come. Now let's hope this means CSC is finally doing they're job again.

Congratsss!

Your NOA1 date is the same as mine. I hope they'll touch mine too....

Oh congrats!!!!

Even mine, :(

I used to say I wanted to be there with him for the summer, now I am saying I want to be there to celebrate Christmas. Maybe that is realistic. I hope so :(

Don't give up on that hope, I have it too! Dreaming of lil roadtrips and bbqs n stuff. We're still in march, there's a few months till summer, maybe not the start of summer but still. Hey, you filed in early august, even if it takes a year, you'd still be there for the end of summer. Even with CSC current standard, I'd be shocked if y'all were still waiting in 5 months when it's august

I feel that I'm the last VSC july left, unless someone wants to speak up and say hey. They changed the processing times from july 2nd to 5months and changed the national average from 7.9 to 10.1 months. I thought this was some sort of trickery to ensure I'd never be outside of time frames. Before, when I was outside average, they said 'you're within processing time posted' and have a habit of changing up the requirements when we call. Well anyway I filed for a second e-request and sent email to VSC.

My fiance didn't make it out to visit due to his grandma having a stroke, it's been since november and we've missed b'day, xmas, valentines and anniversary. You guys probably know how that feels. Well anyway he's coming to visit in may and we're doing a few days in paris since we've saved so much money from not seeing eachother and sitting on msn every night. :innocent:

Oh another thing, when my fiance called last, they basically shot down everything. Saying that the files are not processed by date order at all, that service requests don't really do much, that tier 1 and tier 2 staff have the same powers to grant requests, that the uscis website is wrong etc. I'm not sure what's misinformation and by whom at this point.

 Now that's funny

If you look at Igor's list, it kinda looks like they slowed up on July to surge ahead with later filers. Kinda like fixing the figures.

You should really try contacting a Senator or Congressman and thoroughly explain your situation to them. I'm sure that that's what did the trick for us. And if you have to then just contact all of them!!!

Oh my GOSH the e-request worked! Today we got RFE'd (checked via case status)which yeah kinda sucks but to be honest I'm grateful so see any movement and hopefully once we send the reply hopefully not longer than a month or 2 from now, we'll have noa2!

OMG this is so great, I didn't think they did any work on fridays and thought it'd be months till we heard anything

Also damn by the estimated time of noa2 it'll be like 10 months  that's if there's no delays.

It's crazy that we get happy to get an RFE. However, it does mean that your file has been looked at and, as long as the RFE is minor, you should have your NOA2 soon.

Ikr! It's a sad state of affairs but man I'm so happy. Does anyone know how long response time for rfe is currently at? I'd love to be with him for july and summer and all the rest. That's 4 months away, seems like a squeeze if you counter in the interview stage :/

At first I was a little down about receiving an Rfe but was so glad our file was finally touched and when I found out it was one little mistake literally a yes or no, I was so happy....literally my Rfe to approval 20 days exactly....

Just checked the timelines and now it is 10 months national average. Seriously about to break down here at work. My NOA1 at CSC was July 26. I keep thinking that any day I will finally get my NOA2 since it has been 8 months and now it is starting to look like never.

BTW - I just want to rant about something. If I see another thread started by someone which says 'We've just got our NA2. What do we do next?' I will scream. Just what the hell have they been doing for the last 8 months? You should have been reading the sodding guides and being prepared for the next stage.

You just need the affidavit of support, a copy of the NOA2 and some evidence stuff from him for the interview. From what I know you can schedule the medical as soon as you receive your case number from the NVC.

My fiancé is the same way…I'm the one who knows how things work and what has to be done and he just waits for instructions from me.

You can make the medical appointment without his stuff. Just the case number. You really need him to work on his affidavit of support so he's ready to sign it once you have the info from the embassy. I got my fiancé to complete his whilst I was over there for Christmas. Have you ordered your police certificate? They're valid for 12 months (I ordered mine last October as NOA2s were coming through quicker then - I hope like hell that I don't have to order another as 12 months has elapsed!).
