My fiance and I also decided for me to go visit, though we really don't have the money. We thought about just waiting because we didn't want to book a trip and then the next week get our NOA2. But even if it was approved tomorrow it would take a couple of months for the interview, medical, etc. and we haven't seen each other for months. I'm going this weekend and will stay for 10 days. Hopefully seeing each other again will make the last stretch of the wait for the NOA2 more bearable.

It's depressing because I thought we'd already be married and together again in the U.S. by this point. Last time we saw each other leaving was hard, but we were comforted by the thought of it being the last time we'd have to part. Let's hope that this time really is the last time we have to say goodbye. :-/

don't be so sure! I wasn't expecting an interview for at least 3-5 weeks from my medical but they seem to be very quick! I had my medical on Thursday and already have an interview at the london embassy for 2 weeks from now :) I did what you are going to do and I got approved whilst I was in the USA...in saying this I'm not sure what country you're from so it might be different :)

Congratulations - but it makes no sense. Your NOA1 date is just two weeks before ours and we still haven't had our NOA2. I just don't know what's happening with our group of people stuck in limbo here. We can't do a service request as it keeps telling us that it's in the timeframe because the damn USCIS site hasn't been updated since 31 Dec. This is so very frustrating.

P.S. Please can you update your timeline - thanks. It would be very useful for us to know your timings as you were in the US when you got your NOA2.

Congratulations! And with an RFE too (what I would give for an RFE and I never thought I would say that but at least it shows they've looked at our damn file). Our NOA1 is a week earlier than yours, so it gives us hope. CSC do seem to be trickling thorugh.

I hear that!

Not all cases are processed by the same adjudicator and every case is different. At least you know it will be coming soon, so you can start to get papers and all that you need in order so that the next steps are quick.

226 days waiting. Living in a single room sharing a bathroom and kitchen with 3 other people whilst my fiance is in our two bedroom apartment all ready for us (which I helped to sort out whilst I was there for 90 days). I sold my flat and moved into this single room in anticpation of moving to the US early this year. How can it take so long to process our petitions? I thought the K1 was put in place so that couples were not apart any longer than they had to be?

This is just a real drag…and then there are all those approvals of petitions that were filed after ours. I'm really trying to stay positive, but it gets harder every day.

What do you guys do to stay positive and take your mind off the petition? It's not like I don't have things to do, but I really have trouble focusing on my work sometimes…just wondering how you guys do it.

Adjustment of Status:

Weekend are the worst part for me since there's no hope to see a change of status. When you don't enjoy weekends anymore it's not a good sign :(

235 days since NOA1
