No, not necessarily. I've checked around our receipt number and they are all for NOA1s on the same date (24 July) and none of them have been approved. I think we are just unfortunate with our timing. It's galling as I know of someone who filed exactly a month before us who moved permanently to the US from the UK just before Christmas.

I do that sometimes, checking others receipt number but unfortunately we are on the boat still under review. We called them yesterday and told us that their still processing July 16th duhh as in why in the world they stuck on that july 16 dates as if their moving forward...Well I guess all we have to do is wait and keep that faith only God can see the big picture. While waiting on God to answer prayers, take stock of your blessings..

we were able to submit a service request last month but we just receive a automated response from them, you should try there's nothing wrong, unless if the tier 1 or 2 will allow you to put a service request..:)

online or per telephone? Can we choose whether we can talk to tier 1 or tier 2?

When we called we asked if they can transfer us to tier 2 but the operator told us that we will be on hold for long however she told us that she can make a service request, that's it..:)

USCIS has updated thier dates as of Nov 3, 2012, they are working on June 4, 2012 for K1.......good.gifI guess that's progress....

From the USCIS website....where you go to look to see if you got your NOA2.
