I am half way done with the papers for the interview and still waiting for my NOA2.

12 months and 2 weeks since I held hands with my fiance. Breaks my heart. :(

Oh that's really a long time.. I am so sorry amayana.. That you have to wait so long. But keep being positive! We will make it! I know it's easier said than done. I feel so stressed as well. But we all are here to support each other! I miss my fiance too.. :(

Yes it is. Patience is something I have to learn day by day. I know time will come for us.

Being optismistic makes this journey easier. When you're down, there's no other way but up. Thank you and Goodluck! :)

I got a message on my phone 10:15pm Eastern Time saying my USCIS receipt status has changed. My heart skipped a beat, I woke up, logged on my PC and accessed USCIS website and my email and there it was......

On November 13, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I was so happy I started sobbing, I've been waiting for this for so long....

To everyone that is still waiting for your approval, Just trust the big Guy upstairs, and be patient, also keep re-assuring your fiance that the petition will come, its just a matter of time. and if the long wait has been giving you a lot of stress and anxiety, (like me =) ), just remember that you and youre fiance will be together eventually, it is just a matter of time. =)

I feel you sis Amayana. good.gifFor the rest of us waiting, there's nothing much we can do but to bear a lot of patience and lift up everything to our Almighty God.

I called USCIS today and the agent told me they are working on the June 16 files ... what a torment, I hope that information is wrong!

June 16? that's a month behind. I guess those are the official 5 month timelines. Maybe they are not allowed to give out any information which would contradict their estimated five month processing time cause then people would complain!

Hi to all , anyone knows which form to sign and not to sign before the interview for k1 visa? Which of the following should I sign before the interview ds 230 part 1, ds 156, ds156k, ds 157? Thanks in advance ?

Not sure if this is consulate specific, but in Colombia my fiancee signed both copies of DS156, and the first part of DS230. She did not sign or do anything to form DS156K where it said do not write below this line. The same for the part 2 of DS230, she didn't write anything below where it said not to. We didn't need DS157 (not sure what form this is for?) When we had the interview, the first lady who took our documents gave her the form DS156K and told my fiancee to write my name in the spot that had the declaration of intent to marry. Then when she had the interview with the consulate, he had her sign that form. They never asked for DS230.

Ummm what? You've been waiting 4 months and you're already calling. I find that a waste of resources and incredibly impatient/selfish. There are thousands and thousands of files to process, it's such a travesty that your petition hasn't been approved after a couple months... Oh noes someone call the president!!! 5 month wait time!!!?!?!111

Also from past times given to people, it seems that they are just slow to update the date and they are actually working on 2 weeks to a month after that date, which would be fitting with the dates of approvals seen on igors.

While 4 months is not really that long compared to us Vermont filers; to the poster it is. There's no need to be nasty. I am becoming more encouraged with Vermont speeding up, I must add.
