Hey all,

As I'm waiting on NOA2, (yes I KNOW I have a several more months to go)but just familiarizing myself, with the forms, steps and guides on each process until Petition is sent to NVC. My questions go as follow

1. After paying AOS/IV fees and preparing the packet and submitting the supporting documents (all originals to NVC MC, BC, Bio page of immigrate passport etc..) Do I HAVE to submit more proof of the relationship to the NVC? (As I've read some thread where people are sending in more proofs of there relationship to the NVC) or is this just something optional that people decide to do?

2. Once case is completed at NVC and sent to Embassy, & Embassy rec'd files, How long after receiving interview letter should medical get done? I've read that people that get it done more or less a few days maybe a week before the schedule. interview date? Will this cause a problem by waiting so close to the interview?

3. I know once medicals are done the results are sent directly to the Embassy, (If you're are a paranoid person like me :innocent:)can we ask for a copy or will they tell us "It will get to them without a problem"? Should I worry or stay kool?

4. This question is to the Dominican Republic ( What are the pymt method at the consultorios de visa? cash, credit, debit? as well as the day of the interview in the event visa is approve and we need to pay for the banco popoular fee, and delivery fee do they accept debit or credit? Or should we be on the safe said and take extra peddy cash? as is better to safer the sorry since sometime things comes up (and in DR they always try to "hustle" you for something  )lol..

Thank You much

Your feed back is appreciated :D

I can only answer the medical exam questions. On their website it says that you should go atleast 14 days / 2 weeks before the interview to get the exam. If you do it too close to the interview, the records may not be available to send to the embassy. And as in payments, they accept cash, debit, or credit, but I personally will only take cash. You don't want to take the chance and the card is declined lol..just to be on the safe side.

PS. you filed for a CR1, meaning you paid all your fees. From now on, you just have to pay for the medical exam & vaccines and the delivery of the visa to DOMEX.

this is the consultorio's link. everything you need to know in regards to the day of the exam is on here. including prices, hours, location, etc.

1. Evidence is not required. Some people send it if they felt they didn't enough to uscis.

2. My advice is to get the medical done at least 10-14 days before the interview. The website also recommends at least 2 weeks.

3. I am not sure they will give you an extra copy of the WHOLE medical, but they do give you a copy of the vaccines received that day for your records. I know you are worried, but I haven't heard of any medicals not making it to the embassy so try not to worry.

4. In DR we used cash for everything!! My advice is always have extra cash just in case. Cash for the banco popular fee, medical, domex etc. Cash is best.

We are in the DR right now and are almost done with the NVC. We will be here until the end of the month but I am sure we will not get our interview while we are here but can we take our daughter to get her medical with only her sdo# or do we have to wait for the packet we will receive after all done at NVC?

You need the interview letter to get the medical done.
