Hello everyone

My question is not immigration-related but I hope some of our members who are computer savvy could help me.

I am configuring our home network. My operating system is Ubuntu 12.04. I have everything fully working except for my wireless connection. My laptop was able to connect to my wireless network before I disabled my DHCP server but when I configured the connection manually, it won't save my IPv4 settings.

Any help or advice would be highly appreciated.

There are some good forums at notebookreview.com and overclock.net where you probably can get more help. There are also linux and Ubuntu forums where you should be able to get all the help you need.

I fixed it I configured the IPv4 address settings but I forgot to set the SSID and password, careless mistake.

I play with Linux once in a while but I have never used it as my main OS. I always forget the commands, etc, but it is a great way to learn. It is a bit of a challenge to get everything working properly.

If you like to play with Linux more but hate to mess with the commands and terminal you should try Mint Cinnamon. It sounds yummy. But yeah, Mint Cinnamon's interface is more flexible and user friendly.
