Evangelizing non believers

Many Americans don't know this, but freedom of religious expression is universal in the 1st world

Many religions see it as their religious duty to spread their beliefs and this is called evangelizing

They are attempting to save people who don't share their faith

They believe that the lives of these people would be immeasurably improved if they came to believe what the evangelizers believe

Non believers believe that religious people would be set free if they would only let go of their religious beliefs which non believers see as merely superstitions

So both sides see superstitions as bad

My questions is this :

Should non believers evengelize their beliefs in the same way as religious people - and if not, don't they care about the enormous waste of time and effort by the deluded - not to mention the believer's persecution of people who want to use birth control etc ?

Isn't it neglect to let them carry on in the way that they do ?

If you have ever been around a bunch of hard core atheists you would know they can be just as big if not bigger obnoxious jerks than evangelical Christians, when it comes to cramming their beliefs down your throat.

yup. for an example in history, study what Ayn Rand's groups have done over the last 50 years.

I'm not espousing her stuff, just that it's a good example to study for a 'non-believer of religious stuff'.

Where are there bunches of hardcore atheists in Georgia? I'm planning a trip for later this summer, would be nice to see some of the Lesser Spotted Peachtree Atheists.

Don't go in any strip clubs like the cheetah in atlanta or the seedy truck stop pole dancing places because they are all wall to wall with committed Christians and I kid you not. Really its 100% repressed Christians who are reduced to jelly by a set of nippos.

You would need to find somewhere wholesome to find an atheist there - unless you go in the Georgia hunting museum where they have some heads on the wall

I used to park up and listen to a black church broadcast on a sunday morning on my car radio. I would be crying with laughing when they were driving out evil thoughts like a glass of jack daniels and they were all screaming agreement and boogying like it was 1999

well you know what... You win that round I will have to admit that was a good retort. I may not agree with you a lot but your far from stupid.

However I will give the caveat that people in this forum, are here because they want to discuss opinions. I don't really care for militant atheist or militant Christians. Both are cut for the same cloth. As a wild old man told me once, the louder and longer they pray over supper the closer you better count the silverware. As a degenerate friend of mine was said and it's so true. Always hit on the girls in church that have their hand in the Air, they are easy and you will be in the sack 30 minutes after the last AM. He was right.

As bad as I hate to admit your right. During my single years recently I hung out with a "Christian Singles Group" here in Ga. A lot just hung out to have something to do, but almost to a person the very dramatic evangelicals in the group also were the biggest degenerates, and I mean thief's, liars,Pedophiles. Also a trend among them that the most proffered among them seemed to have an aversion to work.

During that time the Pastor of the very large Baptist church, who gave Clinton hell for adultery, go caught masturbating in his office to internet porn.
