Disappearing status - outside of normal processing dates

Has anyone experienced this or have advise? We sent in our Fiance Visa application February 2006. The last time I received communication was June 11 when they recieved my response to a request for information. Nothing since then. We have both gotten extremely frustrated since

I called before but they said they couldn't research it until 30 days after the processing date had past. Since I got back from an overseas trip to see her, the processing date grew to more than 30 days past our intial receipt date and we hadn't received any information in more than 60 days, I called asking them to search what happened. The person said they would send a note to the office processing the request to investigate what happened and I would hear back within 30 days. Now when I try to check the status at uscis.gov, there isn't even a record of the case number I received at the beginning of March. I get a response that I need to enter a valid case number. What happened?

OMG!! Did you get the hard copy of your NOA1? You need to contact your Senator or Congressman for help right away. You don't even fall under IMBRA so there's no reason for you to wait this long.

You could also make an Infopass appointment at your local USCIS office and see if they can give you any information about what is going on with your case.

Not to be picky, but looking at your timeline, the NOA1 date was actually March 13 and RFE receipt July 11. So you WERE affected by IMBRA. But you are definitely overdue for an approval.

I think contacting your Senator or Congressman is a very good idea. They may be able to help you with this.
