Skye Bank is where my husband had an account and after we were married he added me to his account. We simply took our marriage certificates.

I am also going to work on a Nigerian Passport (cost around 100-150 USD) when I go back for my husabnds interview. We will travel back and forth and will have dual passports to do so without having to obtain visa's everytime.

I also have a multiple visa. But as you know, they are usually good for only up to one year unless you get state you are married (send a copy of marriage certificate) and pay for another visa...but visa costs are climbing.

God bless.

I just purchased a visa to travel this month and they gave me a 2 year visa. I guess it was cos in the invitation letter my husabnd stated that I was his wife and they saw I had been there before, but I did not need to send in a marriage certificate.

The problem or one of the problems with using a Nigerian passport to enter , you will not be able to requst assistance from the US embassy if something goes wrong as you are considered a Nigerian citizen in your home country when you hold a Nigerian passport

And when Nigeria's hold dual passports and travel as such, are they a U.S. Citizen or Nigerian Citizen? Or a dual citizen?

COOL! Did the cost go up? I heard it was rising from 113 to 160. Has that already taken affect?

You only hold passports to countries that you are citizens of. Nigerian law allows the wife of a Nigerian to automatically accept citizenship. So if you take a Nigerian passport you have a second citizenship. My work specifically prohibits this. If you have any sort of clearance here in the US be very careful about this path. You leave and enter the US on your US passport, you enter and leave Nigeria on your Nigerian passport. If you get in trouble in Nigeria you must seek help from the Nigerian government.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Yes the price is $160.00 now and the processing fee is more now too.

When u sent off for your visa, did u send a letter requesting a multiple entry visa or any other type of request? Did you already have your tickets or booking confirmation before you sent off for your visa?

You do not have to have your tickets purchases. I got my Visa in January bought tickets in Match. Requested multiple entry.

Usually if its your first Visa it will be a 6 month. After that they usually give you a 2 year.

All I sent was a invitation letter from my husband (than fiance')

No I did not request multiple visa cos i don't go that often. You have to already have your tickets before you send for the visa. If your husband is sending an invitation letter then you don't need bank statements, but the letter has to say that he is responsible for food and shelter.

Your first visa will only be 3 months your second visa will be 6 months if your new passport shows your husbands surname, but if you travel with your maiden name passport, then your second visa will also be 3 months. You will not get a 2 year visa unless you can show that you are truly married.

How did you get your visa without purchasing your tickets first? Where did you apply? What did you include in the application?
