My husband just recently had his interview in Jamaica and they found he was ineligible for his visa sue to the fact that he failed his drug test. He explained to the interviewer he doesnot do drugs and it is a mistake. We currently calle the local hospital in Jamaica to see if a dispute or investigation can be made. They were unable to assist us, they informed us the Embassy is the only one that can request that. Please Help/

Never heard of a false positive drug test. Either there was a mix up or your husband isn't telling you the real truth

Many prescription drugs will show positive for opiates and amphetamines. Just make sure your name is on the prescription.

Definetly talk to your husband to make sure that he has not been taking any type of prescription medication first off. Second please make sure he has been honest with you regarding any use of ganja. As of now he is going to have a 1yr ban. Maybe he should take another urine test through another Dr just to see what the results are going to be. If you are going down for a visit bring a test kit with you that can be purchased out of a local drug store and see for yourself. You may need an attorney at this point to fight for you if he takes an additional test and it does come back negative.

Just being present in a confined area where marijuana is being smoked is enough to show positive.

Passive marijuana inhalation. If you attend a rock concert or ride in a car where marijuana is smoked nearby, even if you do not partake, the second hand marijuana that you might inhale may give your test a positive result for several days.
