Sorry guys for another post, but I just got a call back from a tier 2 officer. The officer went ahead and did a service request, but he did tell me that the AOS cases are taking no less than six months and up to 12 months to process at the CSC. He also said that we should prepare to refile for the EAD four months from the expiration date on the card. He said no cases are being transfered out unless a interview is needed. This is not the news that we wanted to hear, but I hope it helps others who are waiting and wondering about their case like we were.

Thanks William, was wondering about the EAD card as mine is set to expire in June and now with the RFE that I received, I am sure it is going to take up until that time to get my GC issued. Such BS that it is taking 12 months.

I filed in July. I've never had an interview, or a RFE, or notice that it's been transferred anywhere else. Got the Notice that it had been received dated 23rd July. Does anyone think there is any use in contacting them?

I would...you really have nothing to lose. I'd call to put in a service request and I would also get in touch with my congressperson to find out what's going on. Best of luck!!

Have you checked the USCIS website for your case status and found nothing? If so, then I would say yes, I would suggest that you contact USCIS immediately and if the first person you speak with cannot tell you anything, ask to be transferred to a Tier 2 person which would be an immigration officer (IO). The first CSR's that you speak with cannot really give you as much detail as an IO.

For months, my case status would not show up on the website even though I had my EAD/AP card in hand and biometrics done. It said that case status could not be found. The CSR would give me options and I would always say that I wanted to wait to speak to the next available officer. Sometimes I would be on hold for an hour but at least I got to speak to someone.

If that doesn't help, find out who your congress person is and contact them. They have people in their office who can make inquiries with USCIS regarding case status.

My case is there on the website. It's just still in acceptance. I was just figuring that as it's now over 6 months, at what point does do you start considering a service request etc

I'm in the same boat as you. Received both the AP and the EAD, but the I-485 was still stuck at the initial review stage online. I called the number listed at the bottom of I-797, and I didn't even have to talk to the tier 2 officer.

The first lady I talked to told me that our case was transferred to the local office, and the they are currently processing the I-485 from 10 July 2013. This is immediately after the recorded message read that our case was still stuck at the initial review at the Missouri office.

I know that our field office is not the same as yours, but I guess it's coming tho rather slowly. You might also find out where your case is. That might make you feel better as it did with us :)

Good luck.
