I've been checking daily on my status it still says Im in the acceptance part. CSC is taking forever. Im at 8 and a half months. I guess I should put in a service request? How do I do that? Also, how to I check if my case has been touched since it got transfered?

How do you find out when the last time your case has been touched? Do you have to call for that?

That's what I did with mine. It's been in Acceptance stage for 7 months when I called and Representative said she put service request and I was given a Reference #. She also advised me to wait for a mail within 15 days. If 15 days is over and I still didn't get any mail from them I should call back. After I hang up the phone, I created an infopass, I schedule it at the end of 15 days of waiting for USCIS mail. Apparently few days after my call the status online change from Acceptance to Decision and then a day after that Decision to Card/Document in Production. I canceled my infopass after seeing progress of status.

you can go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do and sign up for updates. It will tell you your status and when your case was last updated. Just because its been touched could mean its just moved departments though.

I put in a e-ticket request and got a referance number starting with SR. Thats the same thing as putting in a service request right? they said i should expect an answer within 30 days.

Here's the number that I called USCIS phone #: 1(800)375-5283. Its the same number found in USCIS website when you check the status online. You have to prepare on hand your Receipt # (that start with MSC) Alien #, DOB, etc.. Just follow the IVR options until you get a Representative to answer the call.

yikes, the last time mine was updated (touched) was 18 AUG 2012, the day they received my RFE.

Uscis system finally allowed me to submit an e-request, and i will be calling again tomorrow to see if i can get something. This might all just be in vain, but at least i will feel like i am doing something. Hopefully i hear something back soon. Getting closer and closer to that 8 months mark. Like one more week! Best luck to those who are in the same boat, we will all get there very soon.

A bit of good news (no, I did not have any movement on my 485)...

But if you were like me and didn't bother to immediately apply for the AP I-131 Travel document (thinking you weren't going anywhere for 8 months anyway) ...Well, with the delay and us wanting to go back to Thailand in May, we decided to apply for the AP first week of March. It was real easy since we already had the biometrics done and the 485 was complete (and it's still free) and they received our application on 8 March and I received notice of approval today, so that's about 2.5 weeks.

We don't have the card yet, but at least we can go home now without worries on whether the greencard will be approved by then something we just assumed we'd have months ago before all these delays.....

Bottom line, don't ever assume, apply for the EAD/AP with the 485! Luckily, we did the EAD already...

Congrats to all who have received their GC's so far

We are still waiting, have put in 2 service requests and have not received any new information. we did have 2 RFE's (which were complete BS) though so i expected it to take a long time for our case to be fully processed.
