Thank you! Hihi :) I'll be tailing closely behind you when the time comes to remove condition :) Although I feel AOS was not that nerve wrecking compared to the K-1/CR-1, it's such a relief I won't have to look at the website almost daily for the next 1.5 years :thumbs:

Enjoy your spouse's company on the Valentine's day!

Just went online and checked my status and saw this:

On February 1, 2013, your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was approved. You will be notified of the decision by mail. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case, including when the approval notice is mailed. If you do not receive the approval notice within 30 days, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Hey Miew-Miew,

Yes that is correct, I was approved with no interview. I am wondering if it is because my husband and I have been together as a couple for so long (started dating in 2007, engaged in 2009 and married last year) and because we saw each other almost every weekend (lucky that we only lived 2.5hrs driving time apart from each other) while we were engaged. Maybe they felt it wasn't necessary for an interview.

I have a feeling that you will be getting your GC soon. Have you tried calling USCIS to see where your application is? I usually called every 2nd or 3rd week to get an update on my case status.

Yes, I called, and got a 2-tier who agreed I was outside the current processing times so she put in a service request. I received a letter a couple days later that said;

"Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter please call customer service number provided below.

There is no way I'm waiting another 6 months to contact them. I also wrote my Congress person in january and have not heard anything from them.

What a bunch of BS that you have had to wait for so long. I would still peruse the congress person to the point of almost harassment. They should be working for you!!

That is GREAT news! Not just for you, but for everyone else who has been sitting at NBC. At least we know they are working on these again. So just to make sure, your application stayed at NBC the whole time, no RFEs and you never had an interview. Your status was changed today?

Are you the first NBC success story in the last couple of months?
