Mitt Romney still isn't talking about his search for a vice presidential running mate, but he offered some hints in a radio interview Monday about how he would staff his potential White House.

In an interview with conservative radio host Michael Medved, Romney said his potential Cabinet would be made up of people who have had "real jobs." In a shot at President Barack Obama, the Republican nominee said, "My Cabinet will not be filled with academics and politicians alone."

"It would be a very different lineup than the president has assembled. His team is almost entirely void of anyone with any experience in the business sector, in the private sector, that understands how the economy works," Romney told Medved. "I will assuredly have members of my team who have had experience in the real world, in the private sector… It will have a number of people who have been out working real jobs so they understand what it takes to keep real jobs in America and to have real jobs coming back."

But Romney declined to name any specific people he's eying for a potential White House post. He told Medved most of the individuals he's looking to recruit already have jobs and "wouldn't appreciate having their employer think they might be going."

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I live in MA, I think he should pick me to be his running mate. I'll straighten Washington out in a year. I would even get a few of you guys here important government positions. My PayPal account # is 1800biteme.

How much for an ambassador appointment in Ukraine so I can help spread goodwill and cheer ?

For you, no charge. Who can I pick for minister of propaganda?

That's a tough call.

Slim could be in your cabinet as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. It was a tough choice between him and Danno.

Danno as Secretary of Education. This appointment could revolutionize the way education is taught in the US. Good for some, not so good for others.

Paul as Secretary of Health and Human Services. This way everyone gets to be their own doctor, and if Paul is part of your cabinet then chances are he's not going to try and nuke the White House.

Anyone "but" Steven as Secretary of Energy

mawilson as Director of the Office of Management and Budget. He can try and sell everyone insurance while he's screwing China.

Gary as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. This one could have went to Paul also. But either one is a good choice imo. I mean who needs regulation.

Eric as Ambassador to the United Nations. By the time they figure out what he said and what he meant they will forget the question that began it all. Couldn't be a better choice for the UN.

Pooky as Secretary of Defense. Something tells me Pooky knows his planes.

Bill as Secretary of the Navy. He was in the Navy and lives somewhat close to the ocean.

Sousouke as Secretary of State. One of the most level headed posters on this board by far.

 Good choices. I was thinking that Gary could be in charge of Vermont for starters and if he handles that well he'll be promoted. And all you want to be is an Ambassador? I think we can bump you up a few levels. You can have first pick.

I like to stay low key. Also if there's an administration change there's still a chance I can keep the job. Odessa, Ukraine and mini skirts for me. Spreading good will is the game, and I'm all for helping. :)

We need something for IR5, sophyia and the rest of the bunch.

We better not forget Charles, otherwise he'll be along to close the thread for being off topic. What position should we give him? And are there any positions that deal with time, temperature, tv shows, gas prices, rhyming, scrabble, counting, saying hi, gas prices or watching movies? There is s short list of candidates to chose from for this position. Maybe IR 5 can be the Canadian Ambassador. And Sophia can be part of a Middle East Envoy.

Sophyia and wife_of_mahmoud can both be ambassadors to Israel. Israel will never speak to us again after that one.

TBoneTX to Ecuador. He can finally get his chance to straighten up that consulate in Guayaquil.

ready4one as an ambassador to Egypt. We know how he feels about Sharia Law.

Maven/HoneyCrumpet as an ambassador to Paraguay. She claimed to be Hispanic.

Rebecca Joe as an ambassador to Antarctica. No comment.

Charles an ambassador to Taiwan. This way he can sell secrets to China.

AJ ...what do we do with AJ? Any idea's on this one?

How about Chief of Staff for AJ? Or Attorney General?

Ambassador to Russia would be more like it. They are super homophobic, prejudiced, and most of all the words "politically correct" isn't in their vocabulary over there. That and the weather there sucks big time during the winter months. Yep, it's Russia for AJ.

But I don't speak Spanish!

Actually, perhaps I see the wisdom in that appointment. Or perhaps an ambassadorship to the Holy See. I could finally use that Latin for something useful.

Ya I can just see it now. Your liberal views and the Pope. The entire USA would end up being excommunicated after that one.

Ok, it's the Russian Front for AJ. Somebody's gotta do it.
