There no way to know for sure how long. Could be months or even years in extreme cases. Hope you hear something soon.

Can you please fill out your timeline? It is hard to say how long it will take for the Embassy to finish the administrative processing. The Embassy will contact your wife, as soon as they finish the AR. Make sure, she provided the correct phone number to the Embassy.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

My guess is the embassy is checking with the NSO for a previous marriage. When my then fiancé went through the process it took 8 weeks for her AR to be finished, so if you don't hear anything by the end of the month contact your Senator's and have them find out what's going on.

This is most likely the correct situation. Unfortunately, calling the embassy won't gain anything until the AR has been completed. I know it is a killer to have to sit and wait but you are dealing with a government enity that moves slowly! Good luck, Claudeth and I will be praying for your speedy reunion.
