Hello all,

I have been MIA since Federico has arrived in the US from Colombia. We are married. We had a little court house thing just to make it official, but we are having a big wedding in November with all the friends and family. We obviously would love his mom, dad, and two brothers to be here. what visa should we tell them to apply for, Colombia is kind of strict with giving tourist visas, is there a visa where they could just get it for like 2 or 3 weeks instead of going for the ten year tourist visas at first? any help or advice would be so appreciated! By the way we started his AOS in June. thanks again!

The only visa they can apply for is for a tourist visa. Based on people's stories and experiences they may have a better chance to get one if they all go at the same time as a family and tell the CO that they just want to travel to be at your wedding. They also need to have proof of strong ties to Colombia such as property deeds, employment letters, school letters, etc. But again, what I've seen is that if they go all at once as family, they may have a better chance of getting approved, at least for some of them.
