I sent money to my fiancee yesterday, she paid for the Visa Fee and got her BPI Receipt only. She did NOT get DS-157 or DS-156 with any kind of stamp... then we waited a few hours so we could try to schedule our interview. I ended up calling them to make an appointment on the phone, but they REFUSED to set our appointment even with the PAID Visa Fee and MNL#. They said they will NOT set an appointment until The the documents LEAVE NVC, so this is the first time after I've heard anything about such an issue, so just as an FYI unless someone had a different experience, this is where we're at, has anybody been able to book recently before the documents left NVC for Manila?

We originally booked an August 24th appointment online. Then we later called the embassy and rescheduled for an earlier

appointment that became available for August 15. Our medical is this coming week, the 24th and 25th of July. Our petition has still not left the NVC. We are hoping our petition is forwarded by August 10th otherwise we may have to reschedule or

cancel our appointment. We recently found out if you reschedule or cancel more than twice the Full visa payment will

be required before another appointment can be made.

Regards,

Jesse
