Two days!!! Two days away and they called me this afternoon to inform me that they had to cancel my interview due to no agents available at this time. They have placed me back in the que for the next available date. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! (sigh)

I didn't answer the phone as I don't when I don't know the number so I could just still go to the office and claim ignorance. I did get a text message then 2 hrs later to state I've been placed in the que line for an interview.

So has anyone else been cancelled and then just gone anyways and still had their interview? I'm mad on another front as over the weekend I was googling to see if I could find out how often they do oath ceremonies only to discover that they had one on June 26th.

Sorry to hear that, but to claim ignorance? OK, I understand that you are just very very frustrated. And even if you go, what you gonna do if they do not have agents available? It's not like they gonna change their mind and suddenly have agents available.

Just be very very patient.

You're right I wasn't thinking about that possibility. Just a few minutes ago I got yet another text message from them. I just check my email and I now have been given an interview date and they are mailing that letter out.

I read in a thread a month or two ago that people with canceled interviews who came anyway were turned away. I have a very flexible schedule and my interview office is pretty close so if it happened to me it would've been no problem to go anyway, but if it's far and inconvenient to just get turned away just wait for your next appointment.

My boss is very good to us and I can get away whenever too. My immigration office is litterally 5 minutes down the road from work and in fact they have a branch called homeland security and border patrol right next door to us, lol. At least I'm not waiting in the que for another 3 weeks to get an interview date like before. I think I'm gunna wait for this letter and see what the deal is. A good nights sleep and I'm a lot calmer now!

Just show up for the interview and they may interview you or turn you away. If you have nothing to lose, and since you are only 5 minutes away, just try your luck. Take your old interview letter with you.

Some people whose interviews have been rescheduled still went on the original date and had succefull interviews while a few others have been turned away.

SO, why not try your luck?

Jan 1999- F1 to USA

June 2006- AOS thru D.O.R.A.

Dec 2009- Oath. Finally a U.S Citizen

I am proud to be Tanzamerican!
