How can I keep my new foreign wife in the US for another couple of months?

Your lawful nonimmigrant status ends, and you are out of status,

when your Form I-94 expires, even if you have timely applied

to extend your nonimmigrant status. Generally, as a matter of

discretion, USCIS will defer any removal proceedings until after

the petition is adjudicated and USCIS decides your extension of

nonimmigrant status request. Nevertheless, DHS may bring a

removal proceeding against you, even if you have an application for

extension of status pending.

Even though you are not actually in a lawful nonimmigrant status,

you do not accrue “unlawful presence” for purposes of inadmissibility

under section 212(a)(9)(B) of the Act, while your extension

of status application is pending if it was filed prior to the expiration

of your Form I-94.

...so they might and they might not - that's helpful. Anyone had any experience with this?

timeline in layman's terms:

Submitted I-130 (in person) - September 16th, 2014

I-130 Approved - November 12th, 2014

Received an e-mail prompting me and my wife to complete form DS-260 and submit some documents to a bank (NOA2?) - November 28th, 2014

Submitted documents to bank - December 4th, 2014

Received an e-mail instructing me and my wife to schedule an interview appointment - December 18th, 2014

you could take another path, and file the AOS packet Friday..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

until she got a greencard, yup .

then after that, she can transit back and forth, but cannot stay outside of USA for more than 6 months at a time without some other paperwork.

A GC holder is expected to live full time in the US and only visit abroad. If she doesn't meet those requirements it'll be revoked. Not the end of the world, but costly. If, in the meantime, she has overstayed her B-2 then she will likely have trouble visiting on that after she loses the GC.

But if I did that my girlfriend be required to live fulltime in America right?

first you label her as 'my new foreign wife'

then later on, you claim she's yer girlfriend.

Are you writing about the same person?

Just asking, to be polite...

Oh sorry. We just got married about a week ago so I keep mis-typing. Ya, I'm talking about the same person.
