I just turned in our packet 3 to the embassy in Albania and they said that they already were full in November, but that we would probably be scheduled in December for our interview and that they always schedule for the next month the first week of the current month and then mail out the interview date and packet 4 (So we are hoping to hear at the beginning of November that we really have a December appointment). If you get your stuff in soon you might get a December date or probably January at the latest.

WooHoo!

-Do what the packet three letter tells you to do. That's my best advice. :)

-Contact the IV Unit to ask how long? (I don't think it will be very long--less than a month from when you let them know that you're ready to interview?)

Wow! You just made my day! We are going to try to get everything done in the next week. Can u tell me exactly gets sent back to the embassy? Does my husband mail it or hand deliver it? If he mails it, he just mails it thru like DHL or something???Somebody told us he needs his shot records, is that true? Any advice on any of the forms???? When u say they "said" did u call the embassy? Is our case number our file number? Starting all paperwork tomorrow... Do I send original paycheck stubs or copies and how many? Do I send original tax return info or copies? They need to be notarized, right?

Sorry for all the questions, just getting really excited (and anxious)...

Amy

So call them, huh? I should just tell them we are reday to interview when we are done with packet 3? Can my husband (Albanian) hand deliver the paperwork to the US embassy in Albania? If not, what's the best way for him to mail it?

Thanks!

avoci, this is very Consulate-specific. Either follow the instructions in the packet, what they told you at the I-130 appointment or what their website says.. those are my best ideas.
