Mohsin... unfortunately its very difficult for a man from pakistan to get a visitor visa....(I think there recently was a man who had a visitor visa application and waited in AP for 2 yrs)

You can try but they will probably see you have a CR1 in progress and deny due to the fact it is a risk for you to immigrate using the visitor visa even tho you plan to return.

They look at the ties you have to Pakistan and because you married a UCS they will see more ties related to her and USA than they do to Pakistan at this time.

However, if you do try I do wish you all the best!!!

I do not want to disaapoint you but honestly it is immposible nearly and you would be denied..my coulleagues were in family immigration in Pakistan and they had multiple visa when they went for the renewal of the multiple visa it was denied because they were already in immigration process and they might take 10 years as a family based immigration still they didnt get it...knowing the fact they all are working for US based multinational company with lots of other countries and US traveling exit entry...still ther were denied...

I have an I-130 pending at the moment and tried for a visitor visa 3 weeks ago at the American Consulate here in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Sadly, I was denied outright even though I had lots of proof of ties to my country. The consulate official stated that it was protocol not to allow people to visit their spouses whilst the CR-1 is pending, because you are married to a US citizen this is seen as a powerful incentive to illegally immigrate to America!

He was honest, kind, but firm on this one, and I spent much time and money only to be refused. But, you can always try - at least then you will know!

Good Luck, and hang in there, it is hard but it will be worth it in the end :)

Hello everyone I am Mohsin wife from USA and I do appreciate the response from everyone to him, even I said the same thing to him, but I didnt want to tell him not to go and apply. even I miss him like crazy, so much that I am thinking of moving there with him after NVC stage, and I will probably stay there with him until he gets his visa. You have all given the perfect answer. Thanx a lot
