Hello,

I have a question in regards to CR1 - Police Clearance Certificates. My wife is from Philippines and she went to Canada to live and is where we got married. She been there for 2 and half years already living in Canada under the caregiver program. Question is, will she need to get a PCC from Philippines? or is just Canada fine? or both? And will she need to go back to her country to get it?

Thank you

An applicant must obtain a police certificate from the local police authority:

IF you…

have been living in your country of nationality at their current residence for more than 6 months

AND you are 16 years old or older

lived in a different part of your country of nationality for more than 6 months

AND you were 16 years or older at that tim

lived in a different country for more than 12 months

AND you were 16 years or older at that time

were arrested for any reason

AND you were any age at the time of the arrest

By any chance is there a way to apply online for the PCC? is this a must have for the next step once approved for noa2? or are we able to bring it in during interview. Dunno how long it will take to get both pcc from philippines and canada. Hard for my wife to go toronto to get it because of work. Lives i windsor.

Police certificates need to be submitted at NVC, so you'll need it before the interview

Your wife can go to her local police station or RCMP station to get hers done. I went to the local police station and has no issues. You might want to try posting this on the Canada forum, maybe someone from Windsor can direct you to where she exactly needs to go

Good luck
