I live in Medellin with my GF - I am on a business visa in Colombia. We are not married yet and have held off becuase not sure what would be the best option for a visa for her.

We want to make a trip in Novmeber to Florida, at this point only need a tourist visa-

a little background on her

38

3 daughters - 12,14, 18 - we are not trying to get them a visa at this point.

She has a job - but does not make a lot and has no real savings.

She traveled to the US before 7 years ago under a fiancee visa - she traveled first to make sure things would work out - they did not and she returned to Colombia within 2 months.( this was before me)

We are not looking for her to move to the US - at this point just for her to travel back with me a couple of times, meet the family and see the sights.

Not sure what would be the best thing for us to do- get married and apply for a spousal visa, apply for a financee visa or a tourist visa?

Thoughts?

Thanks

Chuck

As she wants a Tourist Visa why does she not just apply for one?

unless you marry or plan to marry her she needs to apply for a tourist visa.

tourist visa is best option to keep things straight foward.

I mean if you want to marry her then do it but not for visa bcoz you want her to come see the sights coz marriage is a big life decision, No?

If she only wants to travel every now and then, she needs a tourist visa.

A CR1 visa is only for people who are married and plan on living in the US, so this will not work for her.
