Hi all,

I have recently received my NOA2 for my application, received and paid the AOS bill and after that i received the DS-3032, but there is a note in the email saying: "If you are required to complete the online form DS-261 to register your agent you should discard

the enclosed physical form DS-3032. However, if you are not eligible to use form DS-261 then you must

used the enclosed physical form DS-3032." so i read a lot and found that i should submit a DS-261 and i did that, but till now i didnt receive a confirmation nor the immigrant visa bill, does anyone have any information on this? shall i send a DS-3032? what shall i do?

thanks very much for ur help in advance,

Ghadeer

When did you send the DS-261 online? It does take time for NVC to review the form, add it to the casefile, and invoice the IV bill. Have you called NVC to see where they are with your DS-261?

No need to send the DS-3032, just be patient.

Our case is going through Amman as well, this consulate is 100% electronic and does not accept any paper forms or documents. It takes a few days to receive confirmation of the ds-261. You will not receive the bill for the IV until you have sent in the fee and supporting scanned documents for the i 864. Relax, they will send you each step via email with instructions, in the order they want to receive them. Make sure to remember to send NOTHING via regular mail, it will not be accepted for the Amman consulate and it will only slow your case down. Good luck

This is completely wrong. The AOS and IV are two, very separate tracks. One has nothing to do with the other. The IV is invoiced after the DS-3032/DS-261 is reviewed, accepted, and added to the case file. The IV invoice has NOTHING to do with the AOS track.

It is NOT wrong. I am friends with several people who are going going through the Amman consulate. Every single one of us received these things in the EXACT same order. The Amman consulate is a different animal, unless you have gone through this consulate you DO NOT have any right to say I am wrong unless your case went through them, and it did NOT. The OP is welcome to ask any one of us going through this consulate and you will get the same exact answers from all of us. They send the DS 261...the fee for. the i864, then the IV bill..in that order. If you don't believe me Saylin ask for yourself. Each step of the process was billed after the previous step was completed.

And to add to this for the OP, make sure to check the site for the US embassy in Jordan, there are a few things on the list that are needed for interview day that are only needed for the Amman consulate. One of is the certificate of personal information, you can obtain that at the civil status department in both English and Arabic.

OP if you have any questions feel free to contact me.

thiis is the order of things for the amman consulate

1. ds 261 (takes a day or 2 to be confirmed and accepted)

2. Fee for I 864 $88 when it is confirmed paid(takes 2 or 3 days) send in scanned copy of i 864 and supporting documents via email

3. IV fee $240 after it is confirmed paid(2 or 3 days) send in scanned copies of supporting documents via email

for a list of documents required to send for the IV go to the US embassy in Jordan site and search for documents needed for the day of interview, you need copies of those documents, your SO will bring the original documents, with a photocopy of each document to the interview along with the original signed i 864 AOS package(make sure you make a copy of this package to keep for your own records). There are a few things on that list that are specific to the Amman embassy, one of them being the certificate of personal information. That can be obtained at the civil status department in English and Arabic

Good luck

Mimolicious,

I can concur with your statement. I am going through IR5 right now.

9/19/2013=MCN/IIN obtained via phone.

9/20/2013, I log on to ceac.state.gov and found out DS-261 is available for me to submit online. (take note: I did not wait NVC's notification or email).

9/23/2013 Received e-mail notification to submit Ds-261 (take note I already did before they send the request.)

9/23/2013 Received email-notification for AOS fees, went online and paid the amount of $88

Now waiting for IV fees to be available.
