Was he a Westerner? All I see is another foreigner from a f*cked up country trying to do f*cked up sh*t.

Keep it narrow, they might think you mean England where we often skin our daughters alive before feeding them to the pigs - but only if they come in after the 7pm curfew

Those are both African names from that story.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

The guy in the article was from Ivory Coast.

Religion in Côte d'Ivoire remains very heterogeneous, with Islam (almost all Sunni Muslims) and Christianity (mostly Roman Catholic) being the major religions. Muslims dominate the north, while Christians dominate the south. In 2009, according to U.S. Department of State estimates, Christians and Muslims each made up 35 to 40% of the population, while an estimated 25% of the population practiced traditional religions.[

Doesn't say what religion he was, but from the above, there's a 35 to 40% chance he was muslim. Point being just cause the guy was from west Africa, doesn't mean he's not muslim.

Regular people going through divorce and custody kill their children too. A man from Ireland, drowned his two children and hanged himself to get back at the mother. Crazy.... Of couse this is the exception and not the norm.

It occured in a town that I lived in 15 years ago.

The first names of the perp ("Jean") and the victims ("Regina" and "Rolls") are obviously not Muslim names. Nor is "Christmas" a Muslim holiday. I realize you would have to actually read the article to glean this information, but it would be more compelling than specious speculations based on Googling for the Muslim percentage of the population in the Ivory Coast:

Mrs Say had previously worked at the Ivory Coast Embassy.

A victim impact statement written by her was passed to the judge, but was not read out in open court.

Summarising its contents, Mr Brown said: ‘She describes how the children have brought so much joy to her and she finds it enormously difficult to describe in words her loss, having them taken away from her by the father.

‘Her home now is empty and quiet as a result. Birthdays and Christmases will go by and all she has left is the memories of her children, partly as a result of having no photographs of them - she has not been allowed access to them by the defendant.

Perhaps you are saying that at least Islam is better than mumbo jumbo bongo bongo as a belief system ?

Are you sure you are taking this the right way because soon you will be saying its better to cut their throats than stick em in a cooking pot with carrots and onions while banging on a bloody great drum and making lulululullu noises

You sound like an american, bragging that their country is better than the Sudan as far as math is concerned

Comparisons are odious
