It seems to appear you misunderstood my post. It comes at the end of a discussion in progress so it seems to appear you took it out of context.

I am not trying to make comparisons. In fact, from the onset the point I have been trying to make is that we should NOT engage in comparing two countries with different laws. My point is that there is no justification for a woman to be assaulted, molested or killed by her father, or husband, boyfriend or any other person, anywhere.

Unfortunately as evidence shows, this happens not only in Afghanistan, a country thousands of miles away, as another poster put it, but also right here in America and overseas, in civilized Yorkshire.
