Visa Interview Experience according to wife.

5:45- Left Hotel

6:30- Reached Consulate. There were two security guys to guide us. They said not to come now and to wait opposite by the sidewalk. They said only 7:00AM they will allow to come near. There were already bunch of people before we came.

7:00- VFS people came outside with poles to create lines.

7:10- Two VFS officers came out to the crowd and went 2 directions. One came to create a line for Immigrant visa another for non immigrant visa.

7:12- VFS officers took the 2 batches of people to line up in front of the consulate.

7:15- VFS Officers started checking our appointment letter and the passport. After quick checking of appointment letter they told us to keep the passport inside..

7:20- The line started moving. I started feeling nervous.

7:25- Upon entering the consulate there is airport like security check. The security said to keep the belongings in one box.

7:27- I kept my watch and my file inside the box. I didn't take my hand purse inside, I gave it to my husband before the line left.

7:28- After Security check they said to go towards left side where we can see arrow mark to go out to side big building

7:30- After reaching next building there they divided line into two sides one for the immigrant visa and other for the non immigrant visa.

7:32- First we have to take the token. Showed my appointment letter to an lady and she stick the token number the to appointment letter.

7:35- After receiving token there were almost 16 counters first i seated in front, then I thought that it is better to sit little back to see all the

widows correctly.

7:50- One VFS officer came and asked weather anyone is an single applicant. I raised my hand she called me and guided me to one counter.

8:00- Met First indian officer at the counter.

Converstation with Indian Officer.

Me: Good Morning Sir.

IO: Good Morning

IO: Show me your appointment letter

ME: Gave my appointment letter

IO: Wait for a second and he came back with a file. He opened that file and gave me all the originals that my husbnad submited to the NVC.

IO: Keep my left hand for the finger printing,then my right hand, and thumbs.

ME: I did as instructed.

IO: Asked me my passport. He took and didn't give back.

IO: Wait for some time for the interview by the American CO lady.

8:10- I sat down again was waiting for the call from the american lady for the interview.

10:10- They called my name COUNTER NO xx.

I WAS LITTLE NERVOUS and I moved to the counter, there I saw American CO lady and the indian officer which I saw earlier.CO was friendly and had a smiling face.

CO: Good Morning

ME: Good Morning Madam.

CO: Raise your right hand read an oath.

Me: Yes mam i do

CO: Finger printing my right hand first then my left hand

CO: Do u know english? or weather you need any translator?

ME: No need mam ..am comfortable with english

CO: who is calling u and where they staying ?

ME: My husbnad ...staying in (place in US)

CO: When did u first meet him ?

Me: Said the month and year.

CO: Who all are there for ur marriage ?

Me: Replied to the question

CO: Weather your father in law and mother in law staying with your husband?

Me: Replied to the question.

CO: when was the marriage ?

Me: Replied to the question.

CO: Who arranged ur marriage ?

Me: Replied to the question.

CO: You can move Congratulations your visa is approved

Me: Thank u mam ....

CO: Passport will be courier to the adress...

Me: Thank you.

10:15- Exited the counsulate.
