2012 contribution limits are $3,100.00 (s) / $6,250.00 (f.)

2013 contribution limits are $3,250.00 (s) / $6,450.00 (f.)

You are saying that 3,100.00 / 2 = 3,250.00 and 6,250.00 / 2 = 6,450.00?

Don't let your math teacher see that.

Hype w/o substance. Not surprising considering the source.

Look who's talking.

I mistook HDA/FSA constributions. My bad. Mistakes happen.

Either way as it stands Obamacare does limit what you can/cannot buy with your HSA however, which on its face is the exact point I made earlier as well. God forbid people pay for their health care with money saved as they see fit!

I pay for my health care with money I saved and will continue to do so. That's what high deductible plans are all about. For catastrophic care and high expense items, my plan kicks in. There aren't many people that can pay for such things out of pocket. Those that can should not be bothered by the pocket change worth of a penalty that the health care reform law imposes on them. It's literally peanuts to them.

In other words, despite what the fact many are claiming the sky to be falling, that is another myth associated with the Health Care Reform bill. 'As it stands' imply status quo, which means, it won't change at all. That is how HSA's works today, and that will not change. I am sure somehow, someone will complain...

Either way as it stands Obamacare does limit what you can/cannot buy with your HSA...

There have always been limits as to what you can or cannot buy with your HSA. Same as there are limits as to what you can or cannot buy with DCAs or CSAs. Nobody forces you to utilize any of those. You can save your money in any number of ways and be totally free to spend that money on anything you desire. Obamacare has absolutely nothing to do with that.
