My fiancee just called from onboard her flight from Manila to here... we are SO excited! As she was talking, I heard the flight attendant say "we are cleared for take-off" and we had to end the call.

27 hours from now, she'll be here! Dunno if I'll be able to sleep tonight or not, but I sure have a lot of house cleaning left to do tomorrow! :rofl:

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Thanks! The last 36 hours have been extremely stressful, partly due to issues and delays and partly due to sudden success.

She finally had their visas in hand as of this morning our time and I started looking at flights while sipping coffee. Prices just last night were still very expensive and she didn't have the CFO sticker then, but I was keeping an eye open.

This morning, I got an email from her with pictures of her visas and CFO stickers, etc. so I immediately got online and started checking airfares. Overnight, prices had dropped by several hundred dollars each! I immediately got in touch with her, she went to the cafe and after we discussed the option, I pulled the trigger on 2 one-way tickets. It was actually about $400 per ticket cheaper to purchase the tickets with 12 hours notice than it was to wait a few days.

There was a great gnashing of teeth and emotions when we discovered another issue AFTER I pulled the non-refundable trigger, but we got it sorted out and continued moving forward.

I then went to my airport to remove the "blocks" from their tickets, a more than 100 mile round trip for me. By the time I got home, it was the middle of her night and they were sleeping.

By 0530 her time, I'd not heard from her for 7 hours and she should have been at the airport, so I called her, but didn't get through. It took awhile, but she finally was able to call me back. We got caught up while she was filling out paperwork and then finally the call while she was onboard.

WHEW!!
