This is such an ignorant statement that I don't know where to begin.

You honestly believe the human race has no negative impact on the environment? And even if they did, they shouldn't ATTEMPT to reduce it?

There you go again, thinking man is God and that we have an overall impact on the planet itself.

The planet will be here unless you can build a big enough bomb to reach the core of the planet and have an exlosion with enough outward force to separate the crust completely and cause it to break through its own gravity field. When you're able to do that, let me know.

We're ants on this planet. Maybe a messy groups of ants, but we're really nothing more. The planet will go on without us. We'll be long dead as a speciies and the planet will thrive.

He wasn't alive when the North American buffalo was hunted to near extinction, or the whales. He wasn't around when Three Mile Island happened, or Chernobyl, so he hasn't been able to see with his own eyes, the extent of the environmental damage. You see, he has a very direct approach to science and understanding cause and effect - if he doesn't see it, it doesn't exist. Life is so much simpler that way for him.

You don't have to think "man is God" to think maybe 7 billion of something might have an impact on where they live.

I personally don't have a problem with being environmentally conscience, not because of "global warming", but it just seems the responsible thing to do. If I make a mess, I clean up after myself.

The thing I don't approve of is being forced to participate in something that no one knows for sure is actually happening. Let people decide on their own just how much they want to participate. If gov't wants to get involved, then go ahead and give tax credits to people that do the most, outside of that everyone needs to take a step back and let things play out.

You can always tell someone who's been indoctrinated by Libertarian horsesh!t with that one, single phrase. They say it so often, everyone around them becomes immune to its absurdity.

Again, you're missing the big picture.

I'm sure man destroyed the dinosaurs too.

Earth has been around millions of years and will be around millions of years after we're dead. It will become a planet of ice again, it will become a planet of volcanos everywhere again. It will have its cycles over and over again and outside of blowing it up as I said earlier, there's not a damn thing we can do about it.

Yeah, you're right Steven. Damn. You really opened my eyes. Slavery was a good thing. It was great to be forced to do what others told me to do and if I didn't like it I could let my masta beat me or kill me, or not feed me for a few days. Yeah, being forced into things is great! Thank you so much for opening my eyes here!

Regardless, why not take care of the planet to the best of our ability? Why be wasteful and harmful when we have the the option to reduce SOME negative impact? Do you honestly believe man has no impact on its environment? You haven't a clue what will happen in the future, no more than anyone else does. Why is it useless to make attempts at being more friendly to the only environment we have?

We have an impact on our own environment and the environment we choose to be a part of.

We aren't harming the planet though. Each other? Perhaps, but that's subjective now isn't it?

So you do honestly believe that all 7 billion of us are having no negative impact on the planet.

Sounds like you enjoy being forced to do things. Is that a lifestyle choice?

Sounds like we have nothing to lose in that case - so we might as well all vote for Barry

aaargghhh no - what about the future ?
