Hi all I am a newbie - Thank you for all the advise that you have given everyone on this site. I am greatful to all of you.

My mom came on IR5 and was only here for 3 weeks. Unfortunately, she has to leave the country right away because my baby sister passed away giving birth to my niece and a few days later my niece also passed away. We missed our biometrics appointments twice, however I did send USCIS letter rescheduling the appointment. I also send an email to the Consular of her original interview asking for a travel letter to return, I am not sure what we need to do for her to return back to the US or can she come back

Did she enter on an immigrant visa or a tourist visa?

She came on Immigrant Visa, and once she left I received a letter stating that we need to go our local USCIS office for a Biometrics, if she does not show up, then her case would be considered abandonned. I wrote USICS letters postponing the biometrics but now they are silent on the matter.
