the best way to arrange/compile documents for interview?

hello all :D

i have replied to a thread about arranging/compiling documents, but i think i have to start my own thread :D

so, i haven't got my Interview Appointment Letter yet, meanwhile..i am arranging everything now. i heard that when the Embassy send us the Interview Appoint. Letter, they will tell us how to put them in order such as: ORIGINAL-Photocopy-TRANSLATIONS, is it right? do they really ask us to arrange things the way they like it? or we can do it our way?

I'm using this kinda folder with dividers : http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00weHtCidqwDkJ/Conference-File-with-Dividers-Expanding-File-YH-47-.jpg

i labeled each divider in order too, starts with: I 130, G 325A, DS 3032, etc. then I put my Original Birth Certificate , the Photocopy and the translation (the Original Birth Certificate is on the top of all) i put it in its own place, - so is it all okay if i do it that way? OR that i shoulda separate the originals, copies and translations?

im using a paper clip for each document too, so it looks neat, u think there wont be a problem? (i hear that NVC/USCIS/embassy dont like it when they find paper clip on documents when they check. what do u think? (i hope you got me, sorry for my bad english :bonk: )

hope some1 can guide me,please share your experience, please. i have arranged half of them though, and sometimes i have to take them back cuz i wanna make sure ...so it's messy every time  my husband is guiding me too :D but i just wanna hear some inputs out there B-) Thanks :D

Did you send all your original documents to NVC? You won't need to bring all that stuff to the interview if you have. Some people choose to bring a back-up copy of everything just in case something went missing but that is up to you. Each embassy/consulate is different. A high marriage fraud country will want unsurmountable bona fide proof, where a low marriage fraud country might not ask for much of anything. Look at your case in the eyes of the interviewer...where are your weak points? What questions might come up? Have evidence to back up anything that could pose a problem. If you left anything out of the original packets sent, then bring that to the interview. 2011 tax return might be asked for so if you used 2010 when you sent the AOS then bring 2011 to interview. Smile, don't stress and give straight answers to all questions. Good Luck!

I am far from the interview stage yet, and don't know about the letter your referring to.

The above poster is right - they should have everything you sent to the NVC. However, I intend to take a copy of everything as well to the interview, just in case. The organization into folders etc is simply up to you. As long as you have a system to quickly find what the interviewer asks for, you should be fine.
