The governor of this state thought that slavery wasn't an important part of "Confederate History Month". Maybe you can understand why racism is rife in this state. I have heard more people drop the n-bomb since living in Mississippi in 4 years than I have in my whole life. It is very normal for people to be openly racist here. If you knew anything about Mississippi, or had even visited here once, you would know this.

question--since this is a political forum and all of us push the edge sometimes me included. When you nuke a post, how do we know if it was us or not. I mean I don't keep up with all the idiotic mindless drivel I post on here. If it was us, do we get a notice?

Could it be that from a 10,000ft view, it might look as though black have over 100 years of disadvantage with which to catch up? Could it possibly be because up until very recently, a black person could get arrested for daring the unthinkable action of sitting at the front of the bus?

Having said that I am sure that Jesus himself would approve of segregation and the rampant ignorance, the veiled hatred and the swill which is dispensed on Sundays, on his behalf and in his name.

Catch up to what? Blacks in the South are on par with Blacks in detroit, Chicago and most other places in the North.

And why are not Blacks who live in areas that never had slavery doing remarkably better than Black in the South?

I think he is asking you, since you are blaming slavery and segregation on the plight of Blacks in the USA, why are they just as bad off in places that did not have slavery and Jim Crow laws.
